I think the Rangers would be wise to trade up this year and take a center. They could likely get a quality guy in the middle of the first. Maybe Suzuki, Glass, Necas, Rasmussen or Andersson. No idea if they have the assets to trade up though, without 2nd/3rd round picks.
I know you guys will have been beating the RHD drum, but anyone you'd draft at that spot would be at least 2 years away anyway. - eichiefs9

This is like talking Swahili to me.
I know nothing about draftees. Unless there was a player ready to come in this year and play center, I wouldn't bother.

I was thinking the other day, Miller played center for a bit a few years ago from what I remember. Maybe try him there again, maybe it gets more out of him. I still say he'd get a pretty good return on a trade however, I would listen to any offer for him personally

Yeah AV has had him as both. Mostly on the wing though. Miller would get a good return, I just think its only going to be 1 forward gone and my money is on Stepan.

Two is a possibility. I see Step and one of the underachieving 3. Jimbo is right about figuring out after he leaves and kills the Rangers.

I would like to keep Miller. I think the effort is there most of the time, he just need to work on his decision making, and have way more confidence in his shot.

Agreed as well. I don't hide my bias towards Miller. Early on he was also jerked all over the lineup and still was #2 in scoring. If he got consistent top 6 minutes and PP time (which he wasn't getting early in the year) his numbers will be even better next year and I think his confidence and decision making will improve as well.
He is a guy I could see as a future Ranger's Captain.
