I just don't get because I don't think there's a chance in hell they'd ever trade for Dustin Brown that means I don't like Drew Doughty. Friday? |

I wish everyone agreed with me last year after his 51 point season - nyrangers9479
Everyone did agree, we laughed at you cause you thought it was realistic that the Oilers would part with Draisaitl |

The PP sucks not saying it doesn't, but these players get a pass for it to much
And the PP didn't blow late leads before mass chaos insued in the dzone - Slimtj100
No question this team lacks a pure shoot first goal scoring sniper a roster that is loaded with pass first players is a big part of problem but you look at other teams on pp it's like Rangers are in slow motion. Throwing it back to pt man for shot to get blocked or an easy save no net presence or creativity. |

Ben Bishop, six years, $29.5 million. Sayonara Lehtonen and Niemi. - airjan23
Instant upgrade. Good backups if Raanta gets taken in the draft. |

they are both expensive though, maybe if Dallas bought one out |

I expect changes, but unsure it will be a complete blow up. Doughty would be great but likely way to costly in terms of players back and to take on Brown for five years at $5.875 million would be insane. Only way to dump other players and buy out Staal or G this year, the next year buy out one more. Brown has nothing left due to his style of play and is 32, making a rebound very unlikely. Stepan, as much as many hate him, is just 26, if he doesn't use what happened these playoffs as a way of working on his game, e.g. skating, then he never will. - airjan23
The point people are missing is we don't have the goods Or wherewithal to get a big time player without giving up the little we have in terms of prospects or young NHLers. I agree on Brown, but we can't get a player like doughty without doing something like that. Take a bad contact back.
I'm just saying, I'm completely done with the leadership of these guys, and I serously cannot look at them anymore. Including macdonagh. And I honestly never thought I'd say that |

Probably. That was such a weird scenario. The kid obviously has a ton of skill, size, etc. Just think he either really disliked Ruff, or wanted to go home.
Surprised Dallas didn't try to trade him. |

If Stepan goes I think we need a center back. Not sure I would be comfortable with what we have minus Step. |

I understand the Brown part, but they need to be bold. If stupid comes with it, you may have to do it. My whole point too is, Stepans money may be just as bad anyway. |

I think the Rangers would be wise to trade up this year and take a center. They could likely get a quality guy in the middle of the first. Maybe Suzuki, Glass, Necas, Rasmussen or Andersson. No idea if they have the assets to trade up though, without 2nd/3rd round picks.
I know you guys will have been beating the RHD drum, but anyone you'd draft at that spot would be at least 2 years away anyway. |

Stepan has trade value, just because everyone here suddenly hates him doesn't mean a team wouldn't want him
if Dustin Brown was available for free right now to any team in the league, nobody would take him, just like Girardi.
The guy is done, the Kings took the captaincy away from him last summer, they have to buy him out |

Rangers are in very tough spot..it's to early for a full on rebuild/blow up scenario and the current "win now" group isn't getting it done. And i dnot believe it can to be honest, not sure what people see that it can happen |

The funny thing is if Stepan didn't have the NTC kicking in, I wouldn't have a problem keeping him. |
