TJ Oshie says he dealt with shoulder injury during season but not in playoffs, isn't 100 percent now but doesn't expect to have surgery |

Morning boys. I am going to try and get a blog up on the breakup day comments from the players and AV with my thoughts. I will admit though that Larry Brooks' comments about needing type-A personality on the ice and in the locker may be fairly spot on. That's not a dig at what they have, but they are moire quiet or lead by example leaders. You do need someone who can get up in people's faces. But we saw what the reaction was when Stepan did it in Game 6, wonder what the feel would be if they had someone who did that to others as a Type-A personality? - airjan23
I couldn't agree more. Drew effin Doughty god damn it. LA gonna be blowing it up, let's go nuts and think out of the box.

thinking out of the box doesn't include accepting the worst contract in hockey, Dustin Brown back in the deal.
That's thinking inside a coffin. |

Whatever you have to do to get him. Brown is a leader tho. He actually had a decent year too. Is Stepans contract gonna be that much better? What makes Brown so bad? |

he's signed until 2022 and he has absolutely nothing left, other than that he's good
we wanna completely tear apart a team because they lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs and trade them for players that missed the playoffs? |

I said this as well, McDonaugh doesn't carry the "C" well. He is a good player and well liked, but he doesn't have that snarl to him. They aren't going to get another Messier, but they need a guy that demands respect, who can look another teammate in the eye and demand something from him, and that teammate falls in line and does as told for the betterment of the team. Its a personality trait that I don't see present on the team, not with anyone with a letter at least (Mcd, Step, Staal, G, Nash) They are all very quite guys.
The closest we have is a Zucc to be honest. That's not because he is vocal but because of how he leaves it all on the ice and leads by that example. Guys see that form a teammate and they will go to battle for them. |

Draisaitl offer sheet and TJ Oshie along with another D signing is what needs to happen. |

I like Drew Doughty a lot, but the best defenseman in the sport just eliminated us in 6 games |

I bet we beat them if we had them, and probably Pittsburgh seeing how banged up the years are
I'm not looking to fight with anyone, especially you lol, but if no one sees that this team needs a monster shakeup idk what to tell you. And If you haven't seen enough that this current leadership on the ice can't get it done, your not thinking clearly.
Wether it's Doughty or someone else, something major needs to be changed in the leadership of the players. It's gotten a pass for to long now. |

I have no problem with talking about getting Drew Doughty, I have a problem with Dustin Brown. I could talk Drew Doughty all day long. |

But we don't have the goods to get him by himself, that's the whole point. I don't wanna trade Skjei or Buch, I don't think anyone else does either. You gotta take bad money back. At this point they have about two years left to win the damn thing, so who gives a (frank) about the money or contracts anyway
That trade I said before was more tongue in cheek then anything. And I never give the rangers enough in trades lol.
On Brown, you guys all apparently see more of him then I do to know he's terrible. But by all accounts Stepan is done also, and it may be the case, so his money may be just as bad anyway. But at least we have Drew Doughty
Your afraid to change anything. Last year they needed to do major changing and they did one major thing, and we're in the same spot now |

I'm not afraid at all to make major changes this summer, I just don't think they have to take back a bad contract to do it
if Dustin Brown went on waivers nobody would take him
the Kings should seriously be considering buying him out, he's like Girardi to the Kings right now
if the Kings bought him out and the Rangers gave him a one year cheap deal, yeah, I'd be into that |

Right now now if you told me Nash, Stepan and Staals were all taken off (with Staal buyout) and we had Doughtys and Browns I'd be thrilled. It's close to the same amount. And no offense to Nash or Step but someone like them needs to go. It's to long with these kind of guys and it has to change. You know how much I loved Steoan too, like you do. The personalities are superb guys and it's starting to make me miserable lol |

Edmonton would match that
it's gotta be severe, like 9-10 million a year, something crazy like that |
