I do think we need to keep things in perspective a little. This is a team that has won six playoff rounds in the last four years, and has a Conference title, Division title, President's Trophy and three 100 point seasons in that timeframe. Problem is they are trending in the wrong direction. It's been a very good group, but they are getting further away from getting it done, rather than close. The core group needs to change a little.

Absolutely. I think players definitely should be able to call each other out. Imo because it was a Stepan who wasn't having the best playoffs, to put it nicely, if I was Hank I would have been like, really, you are telling me to calm down. How bout you show some (frank)ing emotion. - mdw7413
Stepan really turned me off with the Hank thing and being "proud" of this team in the post game last last night
Hank is emotional but it's because he wants to win more then anything. But he also needs to look in the mirror, he had his worst series ever I think. I won't count last year because that team had no chance. Aside from last night, Anderson didn't even outplay him, they both just sucked for 5 games |

Yup. I might do a few changes but no way is this team in need of a tank and rebuild. |

Ziba, Zucc, Kreider, Lindberg, Fast, Grabner, Buchnevich, Vesey I keep, Step, Hayes, Miller, and Nash should all be shopped for the right price, not saying trade them all but we need to revamp the D and these 4 showed nothing, Nash is probably coming back to finish the last year of his contract, Mac, Skjei and Smith are the only D we should build around, a Miller for Vatanen or Lindholm deal would be optimal |

Yeah, weird how that works. Hank was (frank)ing spectacular during the Habs series and pretty mediocre this one. |

I would even keep Nash at the right price after his deal is done. I think you need to keep Hayes, guys like that are hard to find and its still only his 3rd year. Miller is the guy to trade along with Stepan. those two leaving can change the dynamic of this team |

I'm tired of Mr Niceguy like I do. Whoever is traded, the leadership (step, Mac, Nash, etc) needs to be moved and changed in some capacity.
I would seriously look at what Mac brings back in a trade. He wasn't great either in the playoffs |

Nash is polarizing, I get it, but I am a Nash guy. He plays a great two way game, and despite the fact that he doesn't provide as much offense as we all want in the playoffs, I think he is a net positive for the team. Here is what I will say on him, you go to him right now, and see if you can work out a reasonable extension. If you can, you consider keeping him around. If not, they need to trade him soon. |

Rangers are coming up with McDonagh with what the Islanders are entering into with Tavares, McD's only got two years left on his deal
Stepan getting traded may affect McDonagh being willing to sign, definitely would affect him accepting a hometown discount |

Yup. Nash stays. Him and Vesey have something. Even if the scoring wasn't there in the Sens series they played very well together. |

I believe the last time they lost a game 6 at home was against Buffalo in 2007. Is that right? |

You can't start trading good contracts for better players and not expect to diminish your cap space, I would keep Miller but he's an excellent chip to acquire a greater need on D, Step is part of the failed core who we can still get rid of |

First thing is first you have to fire AV and hire someone immediately to see what they want to work with, maybe Sutter comes in and likes someone we all want gone, have to move on from AV before any deals are made |

I really question Sutter would want to work on the East coast, it's always been an issue with those boys |

And in the buffalo series in game 5 they gave up a goal to tie the game with under a minute left and lost in OT |
