Holden gets another go with some tweaks to his game. - JRR1285
get rid of klein, and keep Holden as the 7th I guess.
I wanna see Bereglazov get a fair shot along with Graves, though Jimbo said hes taken a step back this year. Who knows maybe half way thru the year Day is playing well enough to get a shot |

Holden may actually have some trade value
his stats mislead that he is better than he actually is and he has solid cap hit regardless how anyone feels about him |

Well the way I look at it, we are set on the left side top 2 pairings. McDonagh & Skjei. Get rid of Staal means we don't need a very expensive 3rd pairing defenseman for the left side. Keep Holden and it lets him play his normal side and doesn't cost much.
Right side is a bit tricky. Is Smith a top pairing right side guy? I think more of a 2nd pairing. You lose G and Holden now we still need to fill 2 spots on that right side with a very weak UFA market for right side defenders. Don't really have anyone in the system on that right side.
So if the Rangers lose Staal, G, and Holden, you have 1/2 the defense that needs to be replaced. Thats a tough overhaul. - mdw7413
Ya agreed. at the end of the day they probably can realistically only get rid of staal or G this offseason. lets hope its staal |

that's true I wouldn't mind recouping a draft pick or 2 for him and giving a shot to a young guy |

I agree but still think G needs to go. I'd rather have him than staal but they need to find a creative way to open the season with neither on the roster. - mrn22
Yeh If they could come back with Neither I would be OK, that would be ideal I guess. But if its only one, I would choose Staal. Girardi's play won me back over a bit and as a fan I'm willing to give him another shot. |

When are the exit interviews? AV and Arneil better be thrown under a bus and run over multiple time - KreiderBomb
How many coaches do these players get? I'm not defending AV, but he was hired after this same group pretty much got Torts fired and it's what the team "needed" back then.

the exit interviews are what ultimately got Torts fired 4 years ago
we'll see how they are this year |

The love affair must end, he's had some good moments but he's not helping us at $6.5 and a NTC
Stepan ranks among centers: Points 55 (28th), 38 assists (20th), 17 goals (54th), 47% face-off percentage (147th). |

I would say 95% of the board wouldn't mind him traded this summer. that's how bad his postseason was |

One thing I would like to see is McDonagh off the PP next year, and someone who just rips it from the point. |

Arniel's Interview should go like this:
Arniel knock on Gorton's door
Gorton waves him in, poinst at his desk taps it with his finger and says "Keys please"
Arniel places his keys on Gorton's desk
Gorton says "Thank you, you have until 5pm to pack up your things, let us know if you need any help"

AV and some of the core need to go, AV is all a lot of these players know, only hold overs are Step, Nash, Mac, Kreider, Girardi, Staal, Klein, and Zucc |

Don't think we're in terrible shape just need some re-tooling.
Start with Stepan and look for a similar Zib/Brass trade. Galchenyuk is a good idea.
Staal is worse than G and there's no way u can buyout both. We need a top RHD to go with McD but Shattenkirk is not the answer. We're relatively young outside of Hank and have Shestyorkin waiting in a couple years. I wouldn't give up on Miller or Hayes yet although they have been pretty terrible in the postseason. |

Agree here. He is a solid well rounded defensemen but he doesn't have an overwhelming offensive game either from a puck moving or hard shot perspective
I like Skjei at the point, and then they need someone else...
OH.. and a system that works using the players they have and their skill sets

It's too late to show that he'll put in an offseason of getting in better shape, stronger and faster, the time is by July 1st to get out of what will be a future problem |

I suppose, but if it was really Skjei that he was barking at then someone needed to tell him to calm the (frank) down
kid has been one of the only bright spots for this team |
