The Stars can't score and never will be able to score. They clearly don't have any fire power to make an impact. The Flyers, the tickets to watch their games are way too expensive. A hot dog shouldn't cost so much and don't get me started on what parking costs. Besides, they want to build a new rink and have no idea how to pay for it, asking for public funding.

I prefer the Blue's strategy of renovating old seldom used arenas for the cost of a new one. Every stadium should have a port hole.

Hate to say it, but I disagree with your assessment, and I'm sure you will disagree with mine.

No thanks to Rodin, go back to Sweden.
I'd give Guance a chance, not Boucher, Dorset will, in my opinion, be on the team.
JV, Cramaosa?, Dahlen, Goldobin, Boesser, a training camp tryout and promptly send them to the AHL. I would let Boesser have a bit longer, but he needs proper development.
Joulevi should go back to junior if he struggles at camp, why oh why press someone into the NHL on such a terrible team.

I'm not nor ever will be a guy that thinks or wants the developing youth playing in an environment that will set them up for failure. There are no lucky bounces, there are no high end talent prospects that are going to propel the Canucks to the next level.

Let the kids develop in the development league, the team will suck, but play to win, only to lose and continue to draft high and become better through that process.
Again I know you will disagree, but I believe in reality and not what ifs, or lucky bounces.

Hockey post, no hate, no malice, just really disagree and hope most of this suspect talent is in the AHL.

[quote=Makita]Yeah, there could be a surprise or two, but I haven't seen it so far. Even Hutton should be AHL bound

Asset management, alone, would dictate that a poor move as he'd be picked up on waivers.

Waivers is the only reason he wasn't sent down, regressed as much as JV but wasn't exempt. Certainly stayed in the top 4 for too long, could have sat some games IMO. WD poop the bed on that one, if it is broke you do fix it

Kovalchuk's agent is free to negotiate sign and trade deal and I think JB should be all over it. Think about it, Sedins-Kovalchuk would be magic and solidify their top 6 for the playoff push. Plus he could be a great mentor for guys like Tanev who want to learn how to shoot

did he even play a game/ get a point this year? Don't know why we would bother keeping him, or why anyone would think he would be successful at 28.

Rick Dhaliwal: Free agent Anton Rodin hopes to re-sign with the Vancouver Canucks: “Yes I would like to give it another shot.”

Rick Dhaliwal: Rodin has been rehabbing his knee after having his second surgery.

Rick Dhaliwal: Hearing that the Canucks would like to give restricted free agent Joseph Cramarossa another look next year. Have been told that they are expected to send Cramorossa a qualifying offer in the next couple of weeks.

Rich Dhaliwal: Cramarossa: “I would love to have the chance to come back and show the fans in Vancouver and the team what I can do.”

LOL well of course Rodin wants another contract/ payday for not playing a game. If JB has any sense he would kick this bum to the curb. 2 surgeries on 1 knee during the season....

no issue resigning cram, 4th liner/ AHL bound

Cram had a better season in a half season in Anaheim then most of Van's 4th liners full season.

As for Rodin well I'd really like to see what he can do when healthy. For him to be better our line up would need to be a bit larger. Pretty small, soft forward group currently.

I totally agree with part of what you're saying. I say, let's offer him a 7x7 deal, offer Shattinkirk a7x7 deal, trade horvat for nj 1st ov (cap space baby) and tanev for Drouin.

Playoffs baby!

Sedin Sedin Kovulchuck
Drouin patrick Boeser
Virtanan sutter granlund
Guance shore Dorset
Scraps

Shatinkirk gudbranson
Edler. Stecher
Hutton. Subban
Peden. Biega
OJ. Makar

Looks good right!

what makes you think he will be healthy? He said last summer his knee was going to be fine, if he's a shrimp... how could he possibly stay healthy? Im not sold on this guy, I don't think he's earned another NHL contract.

I'm just trying to make the team better. Anything can happen once you get in the playoffs, just look at Ottawa. They are making some good playoff money there

Kovalchuk is being brought in to mentor Tanev and then you trade him away

They'll say hi at the airport!
I forgot to have tree coming back with Chuck! Trickle down effect!

I want Kovulchuck to focus on mentoring Daniel's shot back up to par, contract year, he's due a big raise if he can hit 30 goals again!

Well rehabbing tends to lead to getting healthy and stronger.

So he goes back to Europe and sets Swedish league on fire. How is Van supposed to know till he is given an actual chance. Which would mean he would have to have an NHL contract.

Just need the bounces going in the teams favour.

Exactly, that crazy lottery system means that the odds are better if we are outside the bottom 10 anyways. Work hard, play hard, love the game and those bounces might have them nicely in WC 1 or 2 by end of season next year
