If we can add someone like Brendan Smith in FA, and add Antipin and Guhle, then I'd say that's a start.

But I am of the mind this team needs to operate under the assumption that we need to acquire a #1 D man.

I certainly hope so, but I also have big doubts about it.

Most franchise #1 D men have positive effects on teammates, as of today Risto hasn't. Maybe a new coach helps. Don't know that yet

Honestly I've been so busy the last few weeks so I haven't been out much.
FB and the news has been the only place I've paid attention to lately.
I'll try to get to a game this round at least and if they make it to the Cup I'll definitely go to a game.

the day i picked bennett was the day a rumor surfaced that florida was taking reinhart 1. being the german gretzky was faint praise when you look at the other german players (sorry kaiser)- uwe krupp, olaf kolzig, jochen hecht, and marcel goc. i mean heatley was born in west germany, but just because his dad played there. it really seemed like a long shot that murray was gonna draft a german kid with bennett still there.
