Pulling Gibson's leg?

No other way to say it.....your credibility is screwed.

Even schmucks can learn to proof read after 10 years.

It's obvious why you never made it as a keyboard player.

That, and the fact that he has no idea how to play any keyboard.

If anyone thinks this isn't goalie interference then they are either just trolling or completely clueless. Worst missed call of the playoffs. Oilers arnt out of trouble because of this because they gave up 3 goals and that's on them but what the hell is the NHL doing! That was a blatant interference. in the replay you can see Kesler using his hand to hold the pad. It's not a debate even the panels last night all saw it and couldn't believe it. What's the point of video replay if they are going to keep missing big calls like that.
- BleedOil06

Stop your fuking whining!!!! The flames got screwed in the first round. And yeah the people's complained!!! But oiler fans complain constantly!!! It's fuking annoying.......
Cry cry cry. Fact of the matter is the oil couldn't handle the ducks in the first period (accept for talbot)!! Kept them in it. And most of the third!! And ultimately lost the game because of that. Series is over in 6. Or wait 4 straight

Although I don't think there's much doubt Bettman has no interest in an edm final.
It's certainly got more cache than it used to now that we have Connor.
But yeah, he needs those American viewers and to excite those untraditional markets. It's all about growth in his eyes. Which isnt the craziest business model

That said, I certainly don't believe there's some silly directive from him to the refs.
They was a tough call. Especially in the moment. But yeah, they totally blew it

- HB77

hey HB, honest question... did you think the goal should have stood after the high stick on Perry.

I think the goaltender interference looks pretty bad, but I also think the Oilers were gifted one earlier.

As a fan of both teams, probably more of the Ducks because of Getz and Perry,I think you still have to blow the whistle there even though Nurse knocks dicwad into the crease.

Theres way too much interference going on there in the crease for Talbot to do his job properly.

Whether they deserved to lose or not is debatable. The call alone didnt sink them obviously.

But it still stands. That was a blatant terrible call. They're letting guys maul goalies yet letting the goals stand. It's lousy for the game.

He was pushed in. Fine. He stayed in, and clamped down on Talbot's leg. It's obvious and completely intentional. This kind of crap drives me up the wall, along with the tackling behind the play, stick-holding, head-hunting garbage that is re-emerging and going un-called.

Heaven forbid a player taps another's parchment composite stick and it shatters though. Or flips a puck over the glass by mistake. Those are called every time.

Are you saying Talbot was mauled on this play?

ROFL, if I were to guess which player in that game was up to that kind of shenanigans, it would be Kesler, he's such a pest. He was clearly holding Talbot's leg open for the shot. Oh well, the refs missed the call on the high stick on Perry earlier in the game, which led to Edmonton's first goal, so I can see why they missed that one too.

I wish we had a missed call we could blame for our collapse against Boston, but it was all on us.

Everyone telling oiler fans to stop crying would be up in arms if that happened to their team

Im a islander fan but whatif this happened to a team in game 7 of thr cup final?

Nhl is not consistent with goals be called off, penalties and worse suspensions

You can watch the same play 5 times and see 5 different outcomes

Whatever. Kesler had nothing to do with Talbot not being down in butterfly. The puck was tipped to post side leg so it wouldn't have mattered even if your little video shows anything if Kesler pulling Talbots leg apart. And I hate Kesler.

It wasn't a game 7 of the cup final, but your sentiment is understood and I agree - we are all seeing what we want to see.

To say the Oilers were robbed because of this play + sweeping all other events that led up to this under the rug is crazy.

They may still get decisions wrong, but it might help if the NHL invested in some HD cameras to see stuff a little better? (I'm not even talking Ultra 4K or whatever, just at least one step up from the Zapruder 9mm cams that they use now).

At least this way they would be able to tell when guys are offside, when the puck crosses the line, and they would have seen Kesler looking for loose change in Talbot's pads while he "couldn't get out of the way"

when you have retarded d-men on the ice, in this case (Darnell Nurse) pushing players into their own goaltenders nothin good will result from it for the defending team...it just offsets any potential call for goalie interference plain and simple.

You know what I mean. He knew what he was doing by blocking his leg, he even wrestles with him to keep the five hole open.

Maybe not mauled. More like assaulted? Violated?

It should have been called, no doubt.

The NHL once again keeps its interpretation of the rules completely subjective. Depending on the refs the calls are made on the following criteria :

1) it's the playoffs so let's not be chintzy, let the players decide. Put the whistle away

2) Geez we let those calls go for 2 1/2 periods but I've had enough, let's get on them

3) we've called 3 penalties in a row on a team, the next one has to go against the other team no matter how slight an infraction, no matter how late in the game

Don't get me wrong , I would not want to be a ref in this NHL with its speed and size of players; but sometimes it feels like the "drama" created by calls or non-calls is akin to the old WWF where momentum shifts changed often, players and fans never knew who was supposed to win, ( maybe to keep the $$$ flowing by extending the series ? )

Knowing how much good sportsmanship matters to the Oilers I too am incensed by the calls. I am sure Nurse apologized to Kesler for attempting to rape him and immediately withdrew the offending member. Lustcheek and his record of fair play around the net was evident in his remarks. Kusskan flexing his skinny little muscles and being his usual man/boy got his ass kicked for the team. The better team won...get over it.

ummm..thats talbot not gibson and yes he bumps him twice and pushes him while in the crease....

that is blantant goalie int....but this is a clown shoes league with clowns for refs who rarely ever get GInt right let alone all the issues with coaches challenge offsides..

- bogiedoc

A) My comment was on the original clip Ek posted
B)
Clearly, Ryan Kesler gets knocked into the crease...or guided into the crease by Nurse...But Nurse had very little to do with Ryan Kesler pulling Gibson's leg and exposing a five hole more open than a I-5 carpool lane at 3 am

"We complained, but like you guys totally complain worse"
I bet you actually believe this bias nonsense too.

End of the day the oilers shouldn'tve blown that lead . But the fact remains that kesler interfered with talbot. Intentionally. Ie; No goal.
But whatever, they miss calls all the time. I'll accept it.

But your desperation to make yourself feel better about the flames getting swept is too funny. I'm generally not interested in kicking fans when they're down, but in your case, I'll make an exception.
There's zero comparison between our two teams. We swept you this season, and you you got swept by the ducks. Couldn't even manage to take 1 game.

If you have something Of value to say, cool. Otherwise, run along cause the oilers are FAR better than the flames. There's no parallels to be made. I can almost taste your jealousy of the oilers success this season. Tastes good actually

yup. Both should've been good goals. I hate the Oilers, hate the ducks more... Hope they kick the crap out of each other some more so Nashville can sweep one of 'em!

Oilers are whining. They deserved to lose that game.
