How much do you think Eichel's next contract will be? Bridge deal or straight to the big money?
- Matthews_Auston

Hopefully something around 7-8.5 mil 7/8 years

8 years $9 million per year is my guess which won't be done until midway through the season with the new GM when Eichel has 45 points in 40 games...

Damn that's a lot of money. Be interesting to see what McDavid gets

Damn dude as I hit quote you edited in the 3rd and 4th lines and I got creeped out because I didn't see it show up until I got to the response page haha

But others will complain our D didn't get addressed... My only complaint is the lack of wingers for Eichel. Landing Tavares almost certainly means Kane is gone via trade or FA but our bottom 6 looks really good moving forward in this scenario.

I think the D can be addressed through a FA pickup this summer, not Shattenkirk but something like Del Zotto or equivalent, then Guhle/McCabe/Antipin/Nelson hopefully stepping up to some capacity.

We need scoring, not D. Our D looked so bad last year because of our system. It literally removed offensive rushes and chances for the D by forcing outlet passes and dump and chase.

- BeadyEyedDouche

Yea i hear that. But i tend to think we have a few capable wingers coming up through the ranks that could plug in. i think having JT and Eichel as our top six centers would be rediculous on its own. they you have Okposo, Oreilly (who you convert to LW), Baptiste, Nylander, Bailey, Ennis? and Kane for at least a year.

Im all for smith, MDZ in fee agency

ROR-JT-Okposo

Carrier-E Rod-Moulson

I would absolutely love this. But I gotta think Reinhart would be in the package for JT

I'm just wondering how ROR deals with being moved to the wing again. Cry like in Colorado and request a trade

They played 154 minutes together at 5 on 5, plus were on PP1 together
- sbroads24

That's about 9-10 games... That's unacceptable. Eichel was stuck with Foligno/Moulson half the damn season. What i dont get is why ROR got to play with the top wingers and Eichel got stuck with the weaker wingers. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Yeah, the average top-6 winger should be playing around 1500+ minutes a season across 82 games. Playing 10 of those games with your top center is unacceptable no matter how you swing it.

Yea I often wonder about this. But tend to think if we are able to add Tavares, I wouldnt give a f#$%k about what he thinks. He should be happy to play on such a loaded line.
