If we really must get a defenseman, the only guy I want from any team is OEL from Arizona, and I'd send the Reinhart, 8th overall and Nylander in a millisecond. They probably mull over it and decline and waste OEL's career away though.

I'd rather not take a chance on Silfverberg. Could end up being another Bobby Ryan. Looks great on the Ducks but moves to the East and leaves a lot to be desired.

So here, he could play RW with O'Reilly
And then Okposo could play w Jack
Or he could just play with Jack. Wouldn't hurt to have a defensively reliable winger on that line

Can anyone tell my why Okposo didn't play even one god damn shift with Eichel this season that isn't "Bylsma"? Because I think that alone was one of the biggest head-scratchers this season.

Carolina, Vancouver, Florida, Boston, Calgary, Anaheim, Los Angeles... don't they all have multiple goalies, including minor league guys that they have to choose to protect or expose? Not to mention FA goalies this summer?

He wanted someone defensively reliable with him

I think the 5v5 scoring would've been better with Okposo on Jack's wing
Some combo of Foligno, Ennis, Gionta, Girgensons & Larsson could've played the wings for O'Reilly & been a decent checking unit though imo

I think the big problem 5v5 last year was that our 2nd & 3rd lines both played like they were "checking lines"
