Yeah, like some are saying, could be nothing. But if it turns out that he declined the position... The writing is on the wall.

By all means, on paper, the current GM opening for Buffalo is a dream job but methinks the owners are actually hurting the organizations they saved more than helping at this juncture.

I know there was some discussion the other day that there was a higher bid than Pegula's for the Sabres and it's almost certain it was Ballisie and even more certain he wanted to relocate them to Hamilton and STILL even more certain the NHL wouldn't have let him buy the team or relocate it.

If they are committed to keeping Arizona in Phoenix, I'm inclined to believe they were committed to keeping the Sabres in Buffalo and they've shown they want no part of Ballsie's money or to have him own a team.

The Bills, that's another story. But as much as I love the Bills, I've said numerous times (and I know it's a very unpopular opinion) the best thing for the city would have been for the Bills to relocate, who cares where to and then have Pegula invest in an expansion team somewhere down the line under the conditions of having a new downtown stadium after Buffalo's economy stabilized under this supposed "Renaissance".

Hey guys good day just thought I'd jump in and mention that I'm hoping that the new g.m. continues the rebuilding prosess and does not trade the eighth or Nylander! Of course depending on the return? But you'll get a good player at eight, cost controlled for years, nylander on Eichels wing could win him the Calder? If the team could sign a veteran goaltender (Budaj )or someone like that, let the others in the system to continue to develop,maybe sign M. stone,or B.smith,maybe del sotto? I haven't seen him play much lately, and then maybe trade Rinehart to Anaheim for vatetin? Or Minnesota for dumba (spelling ? ) but ovi?Geno? Wrong side of 30,money and that's not rebuilding! And the g.m. signing is hopefully coming soon! Not sure who the best man for the job is but I hope he continues to rebuild and restock this proud franchise!
