Agreed, but Drouin nets more than Hamonic+ so an Islanders match centers around TJ IMO

I agree TJ seems to be a better match. He would make a fine 2C behind JT.

The Ducks is where I think Drouin will end up. They have a plethora of defensemen and could give up a Theodore, Montour or Manson. I don't think Drouin will get as big of a return as most people do. But we'll see.

Doubt Theodore and Montour are going anywhere. They're cost controlled, which is huge when you consider Drouin is a pending RFA. Ducks don't really have the cap space to sign Drouin and keep both Fowler and Vatanen. Look for one of those two to be moved in a potential trade. Manson, possible. imo

Not real sure why the Jets would need Drouin.

I agree, I think it's more about Trouba still wanting out and the Jets having to trade him at some point. That's why another move to bring in another D would have to happen first.

I've seen reports from other sources about Anaheim being in on Drouin. Interesting that Ek doesn't even mention them as a possibility. Probably a good sign. Lol.

i keep hearing there are more people in the Ducks organization who don't like Drouin....for whatever reason. I agree they are a great fit and have the pieces...but sometimes a guy in charge just doesn't love the player..

I really hope Yzerman keeps him, unless he can get a defenseman of equal value back, someone like Provorov. We still haven't seen Drouin and Stamkos for a full year yet.

depends how much you value Drouin and Sanheim. Drouin has way more question marks. Sanheim is going to be a solid top four for a decade..

ducks will need to shed salary / move out an expansion eligible dman. seems like a trade with TB could get hung up on that.

i'm not convinced the preds trade another dman.

The Metro is absurdly strong this year again, though, so that poses a problem. Easily the best division in the NHL.
