I'm basing it on how Hextall operates. Until he makes a move to indicate otherwise or Patrick/Nico dazzles in camp, that is what I'd predict. He sent a very polished Provorov back to dominate the WHL. I don't think he'd have any qualms doing the same with Patrick. Now if he moves one of Giroux, Couturier or the most likely Filppula, that prediction will change pretty quickly.

Maybe Toronto could be persuaded to trade Marincin for Couturier... we might have to sweeten the pot a little, though. We need more D, right?

The only trade I want the Flyers to even consider come draft day is trading to get an additional 1st between the late teens mid twenties if someone they like falls. What do we have 9 or 10 other picks aside from the 2nd overall? It's really a game changer.

Hextall treats different players differently. Patrick is 6'3, 200 pounds, turns 19 in September, and already played 3 seasons in the WHL.

I think there is significant difference between being an 18 year old versus a 19 year old. I think if a 19 year old player proves that they are NHL ready, Hextall will have zero issue with keeping them on the team.
