Golisano was the one that saved the team from leaving. I doubt he would have sold it to anyone that wanted to move it.

That is true. He could have taken the money and run.....kinda like the Rams did here

Gary Bettman too. I'm sure when the league owned the Sabres there were offers to buy and relocate

Guys always said Laviolette has a way of making you believe you're capable of things you've never done before.

On Botterill, they had second interview today, but lets say we want to have him as GM, what does that do to him with Pitt right now? He is focused on that for sure. Does the change the meetings he is in there, does he just leave right now (would be lose the ring if they win)?

I believe it is up to the team that currently employs him to decide when the announcement happens.

I think that he's been there long enough this year to still get the ring, but I do not know about anything like that.

Looks like Nico Hischier is eligible to play in the AHL next year. Thats a sweet deal and possibly moves him into stronger consideration for the #1 pick.

Other players that are AHL eligible- Miro Heiskanen and Timothy Liljegren

Just curious if we sign him today (lets say), his attention would still be on Pitt relations and not us. Also I would not want to lose a chance at another ring to take a new job, but who knows.

I am not saying to not sign him, I want the best guy (or girl) available, but food for thought about where he attention would be if we did (in the short term).

I am not 100% sure what his responsibilities are in the playoffs.

If he's running the AHL team, that could be a problem. Since they have Guerin, they could move him into whatever roles he would be leaving.

It's up to the team itself who gets a ring and who doesn't.

Hell, in 2006 Kid Rock got a (frank)ing ring.

You would think at this point in the season he is sitting back and just enjoying the show? Not too much for the Brass to do during the playoffs, minus a call-up or two. I'm sure he would still get a ring if they win. (although I don't want the Pens to :urg

I haven't watched much of the second round, but the Pitt/Wash game tonight should be bananas. I can't wait. OV better be ready

You think Pitt will try to retaliate for the Crosby thing?
