I don't think he moves regardless of who we get until the TDL. Hexy, and roster players, all spoke very highly of Filp in exit interviews and how they look forward of his impact to start the season. And how the top9 improves. Now this was obviously before acquiring #2 overall; things change. But Hexy also has heavily emphasized how great it is having extra centers since they can adapt to the wing if needed. I just don't see Hexy rushing to trade Filp when injuries always happen and he will have more value at the deadline with salary retained arguably.

Moves to wing.

Not moves in a trade.

EDIT: and if we are in the playoff picture, I can see Hexy just holding onto him.

The only way I don't see that is if they take Patrick and he has a fantastic camp. Even then, they would just slide Filpulla to LW. He's not going anywhere.

I'm assuming that NJ is going to take Patrick.

Don't think you can make that assumption. I really think it could go either way.

It's funny. In this thread I see a lot of us assuming NJ is taking Patrick but I've seen a lot of people online saying it's really 50/50 which way Shero goes with the pick. Quite a few Devils fans are also hoping for Nico.

It's really going to be wait and see with this thing. I can't assume one way or the other at this point.

I think he moves if the flyers get Patrick. I think they would role Giroux, Couturier and Patrick down the middle.

I could Hischier starting on the wing if he goes at 2 though.

- J35Bacher

I think he is at center and Nico is on the Phantoms. Nolan could bump him to wing, I don't think he starts in Jr's which ever team gets him.

Probably a wiser approach but I'm just going with a gut feeling there.

I may be just gunshy, but Patrick's injury history puts me off a bit. I really hope NJ doesnt feel the same way.

It is for this reason, and the fact they can start him in the AHL that keeps having me prefer Hischier over Patrick.

PLus I think he is a higher end offensive talent, and that is more what the Flyers need IMO.

It really should to the fans. Not that I know what the case is but drafting Patrick and having his career hampered by chronic injuries would be catastrophic to the Flyers future.

Its the stuff of nightmares.

I have to keep reminding myself that if were still picking at 13 none of this would matter. But now it really does matter. I hope NJ takes Patrick, but more and more I dont think they do.

Well, catastrophic might be a bit strong, but it definitely wouldn't be cool and would be more fodder for team negative for sure.

I think he meant it was pathetic ur conceding the series when ur team is up 2-1

of this i am aware.

however, down what they are i just am not exactly inspired with loads of confidence at the moment.

imagine a scenario in which the flyers four years from now are doing some damage spearheaded by patrick and provorov. You then find yourself in a tightly matched series against the best team in the league without their services. call it a hunch, but i dont think this place would be bubbling over with gusto and confidence.

Ducks IMHO. I don't think Nashville's logo is that bad, I just am not a fan of their color scheme.

Bubbling rage and fury would be a better guess

edit: that being said, I think your boys still have a good shot. Find a way to win tonight and the Caps may implode. However, I will be rooting for the Caps, I can only go for your boys if they are playing Satan's imps aka the (frank)ing New (frank)ing York (frank)ing Rangers

I've always hated the Sabres logo. We understand that Buffalo is a city, people. You don't need to hammer that point home in every single logo

From the rumblings out of NJ executives (from guys connected to the hockey world - Button and Marek specifically), NJ is leaning towards Nico. However, Shero has apparently done a lot of scouting on his own this year and will meet with Paul Castron (NJ's director of scouting) some time in the next 2 weeks, and the decision will likely be made by those 2.

I'd say its a coin flip. Shero hasn't said one way or another yet, and I haven't seen anything directly linked to Castron.

Ducks logo is second worst for me. Nashville's color scheme with the shiny silver/gray are horrible.
