Do you or have you ever played hockey? When you get wacked in the head with a stick, even with a helmet on, not only does it hurt but it surprises the hell out of you. His reaction was pretty normal. Second hit by Niskanen is a cross check to the head. Plain and simple. Niskanen should have been suspended.

I don't think any player "deserves" an injury. Especially concussions. With his history it could be bad.

Nobody wants to see a players career cut short because of concussions.

I don't disagree that he's dirty, and I'm not even debating the hit itself but I hate to see the result of him missing time.

2. Canvass the league, dangling any of Reinhart, Nylander, 8th pick, or lesser prospect for top 2 LHD stud.

Like him or not, he makes the playoffs more exciting to watch. Also, how many missed high sticking calls have there been this playoffs? I've counted 4 and I have not even come close to watching every minute of every game. The flopping by Crosby and other players is partially due to the horrible officiating we have in the NHL.

I can't even wear it because it's an XL and I wear small/medium jerseys now (I was a fat kid). But I'd never want to get rid of it because it has sentimental value to me.

Did you see the replay? High stick to the head then cross-check in the head on the same play. Dirty stuff. Niskanen should have to sit until Crasby can play again.

I love watching Sid.

But there is no way that's a suspension IMO. Horrible result, but Crosby falls as Niskanen is attempting to hit him.

A similar play cost Boston a playoff game when Riley Nash was elbowed, while falling, and received a retaliation penalty because he pushed the guy who elbowed him.

whats the background on Groulx? Any 2LHD you would have in mind?

Groulx is the coach of TBL affiliate Syracuse and has been an assistant coach (2014) and head coach (2015) of the Canadian World Juniors. Great with young talent.

I think Shea Theodore out of Anaheim could be had for good value and will be a top LHD when given the chance. He is 21.

When you get whacked* in the head playing hockey, the first thing I do is over react and sell it for a powerplay. I've never been hurt from a stick to the helmet, and I do currently play.

Although, Crosby was way too busy selling it to realize he was falling face first into Niskanen.
