Trading for Boyle was necessary for the development of the young players and the team as a whole. Until you lose in the playoffs, a player has no measuring stick as to what it takes to win. A second round pick and Byron Froese is a reasonable price to advance the rebuild at least one year.

Renovations sound fun, I'm a bit of a handsy man myself (not a handy man, that would imply I know what I'm doing). Recording sounds super fun, I bet it'll be a blast

I have a bunch of songs I need to track but the hardest part is settling for the gear I have and getting the process started. I'm hoping to have it set up by September myself.... but I'm just... so... lazy.

at least basketball isn't baseball... if I want to relax and have quick rest during the summer... I don't need meds or booze... just flip to baseball... doesn't matter who's playing.

Depending on how the NYI season goes next year. I can see Tavares taking a discount to get himself either on a team on the rise or an established team. If they miss the playoffs again I can see him taking less.

The issue is if it is worth investing in him. Kadri just put up 61 points. Tavares the last 2 seasons has 66 and 70. He has had 2 seasons of 80 +, but the majority of his career is 60-70. Is he better then Kadri? Yes, but he will cost significantly more.

The only way I go after Tavares at this point is if Babcock believes he can him to elevate his game to an consistent 80-90 point player and he is willing to come in at no higher then 8 million. If Babcock hints he can do it and Tavares agrees on that term, then I say sign him and trade Kadri for help on d.

he won't need to take less to get on an established team. A team will pay him and make room for him. There is no discount coming for that guy
