I am really having trouble defending AV anymore. His handling of defensive ice time is appalling. Skej and Smith have been good and get 3rd pairing minutes. I just don't understand.

Great read for anyone interested in a breakdown: https://www.fanragsports....ns-cost-new-york-rangers/

hes not done either, get ready for Buch to come out cause this team desperately needs Tanner Glass to get this turned around

I would not kill him IF that happened. Need to get the energy up in the building & some crashing & bashing wouldn't be a bad way to open a home game with us desperately needing some momentum.

I (frank)ing loved Glass in for the start of the MTL series. And I'll lose what little poop I have left if AV takes Butch out for 15.

Glass does have more goals than Buch in the playoffs.

Does the longer layoff help the team move past the loss or makes the loss linger and sting even more? If they win, it will be the former. If they lose, it will be the latter.

I think the more time they have to think about it the better it is for tomorrow night!

Guarantee, guarantee that if we won the first 2 games Ek would not have posted a blog "How good are the Rangers?"

I'm with Pete V on giving the Sens credit for their play . They have more offence than the Habs and looks like more speed . They are making the Rangers look more like the Rangers of the last 20 or so games in reg season . It looks like the Rangers can't handle their attack and the Sens are exposing the Rangers team defence. If the Rangers don't tighten up the team D and stay out of the box their in bigger trouble than they are now .

Miller's lack of engagement, nevermind production, is the biggest surprise of the playoffs for me.

The #1 problem with this group of underachievers is that they play up to their competition....where the hell is the intensity from the Montreal series??? They should be blowing out this Ottawa team with their best player at 75%.

I think he must be hurt. We've seen way to much fire and hockey IQ in his game previously for me to think otherwise. But regardless, he is just not getting it done.

Some players just can't perform in the playoffs. Maybe they just can't raise their level or grip their sticks to tight. One goal on 36 playoff games for Miller. That ain't good. He needs to turn that around quick.

Anytime you are down 2-0 in a series, and have to win 4 games, while the other team has to win 2, you're the underdog. Maybe they'll actually do something on home ice, and push the home ice winning streak to 4.

Can anyone explain this stupidity to me?
Seriously, Jim, you're our social media guru. How do we get a direct line to AV to get an answer for his bullpoop decisions regarding personnel? How do you spend an entire season building a team that allows you to roll 4 dependable, dangerous lines and then not play to your strengths in the most important game of the season to date?!?!?

edit: Sorry, don't seem to be able to show the graphic

There is still time to turn it around for JT, but he's on the verge of developing a playoff reputation. One goal in 36 playoff games, averaging 15 minutes of ice. He needs to produce soon, or you have to begin to wonder a little if there is something about him that doesn't jibe well with playoff hockey.

I think we need to give the Sens some credit. They are a damn good hockey team that are really underrated. But, I don't care who you are playing, if you have a two goal lead with under 4 minutes left, you better win the game.

I think the Rangers can win this series, but it starts with winning 2 at home. How many times can they come back from 3-1 down in a series, with Games 5 and 7 on the road?

- Pete V

Its not even the lack of production for me, its the braindead penalties and dzone play that boggles my mind. He has a world of talent, but he's just a dumb player.

The reason I'd trade him, I said a few times, is because he's excess. He's a winger, we have what seems like an endless supply of them. And he probably bring back a stud RHD. It's for the off-season I know, but of all the guys to trade he's the one imo.
