I count all of 28 listings for 2+ tickets, the nosebleediest of which start at $209 each, and the game is over a day away. Try again when our stadium has hundreds of empty seats for less than $50 at gametime. - nyrispmco

Well, that was an exciting weekend, wasn't it??
I woke Sunday and was still in disbelief. Like, "that didn't actually happen, did it?"
Totally agree with Jan and others here. I was screaming at AV through the third and OT. Pretty sure my nephew had already heard those words, so no biggie, but WTF???????
How is it possible that such an accomplished coach can't see who his least dependable players are?!?!?!?
I couldn't find a site that had the stats condensed for me but it seems like Staal and Holden (or is it Stall and Hold-on?) have been on the ice for about 75% of the goals against in these playoffs. Advanced stats aside, they look (frank)ing terrible. AV get your head out of your ass!!!!!!!!!!! |

Not ready to move on from Miller. He has been horrific these playoffs but is still just 24-years old.
Holden made a stupid play on the pinch and was on ice late in the game 2 failure vs. Montreal. He has been very inconsistent since January. I don't get why AV isn't replacing him. But even if he is active Tuesday, play Smith and Skjei more, especially down the stretch.
Skjei wade one bad play, when Mike Hoffman beat him wide on Marc Method's goal. Who was his defensive partner on that play? Holden, plus no one got Methot down the slot, which in this case was Stepan's responsibility. The third goal also was on a 4-on-4, which came on a scramble. - airjan23
There is still time to turn it around for JT, but he's on the verge of developing a playoff reputation. One goal in 36 playoff games, averaging 15 minutes of ice. He needs to produce soon, or you have to begin to wonder a little if there is something about him that doesn't jibe well with playoff hockey.
I think we need to give the Sens some credit. They are a damn good hockey team that are really underrated. But, I don't care who you are playing, if you have a two goal lead with under 4 minutes left, you better win the game.
I think the Rangers can win this series, but it starts with winning 2 at home. How many times can they come back from 3-1 down in a series, with Games 5 and 7 on the road?

That has been my mantra since Saturday. The one game the offense breaks out & we give up 6 & lose. |

Clearly.
And on topic... I'm still not over these losses. Utter disbelief that this team's blowing leads late to turn victories into losses. I find it incomprehensible how the team can be rolling, and I mean flat out dominating, and AV changes the game plan to a prevent defensive mode AND insists on employing our most error prone D-man in the most critical moments of the game. |

Hank is unbelievable in Game 1, the Ranger can't score.
The Rangers score 5 in Game 2, and Hank gives up 5 goals on 25 shots.
That's a recipe for being down 2-0, and frustrating as hell.

Hands up if you are going to the game Rangers fans.... what's your excuse for not going if you live in NYC? - riceroni

I am an AV fan. I think he is a great coach that get's way too much poop from the fans. But, I got nothing for Saturday. Nothing.
That being said, the players have to close that game out, no matter who AV throws over the boards and no matter how stupid such decisions were.

Agreed to an extent. It's obviously the players out there who are making mistakes leading to those tying goals, but going from that 100-0 record when leading after 2 under Torts to this trend of giving up late goals under AV, you can't totally dismiss AV's role in that. |

Some people have children, a family, a mortgage & overall just won't commit to those astronomical prices. Not going to the game does not make any one of us less of a fan. |

Don't be cheap. Also don't spill any of your cheap garbage-beer on Mr. Roni's Bentley or else he'll cast you down like the peon serf that you are. |

It took all my self-control and restraint not to curse several times in the blog. As you can tell, I was and still am, spitting mad. To have it happen once in Game 2, you can understand it. But it almost happened in Game 6 against Montreal, if not for a great save by Lundqvist on Plekanec. But to shorten up your D rotation and sit your best pairing makes absolutely no sense. Then AV's remarks yesterday was almost piling on the short-sightedness, stupidity, stubbornness or all of the above. |

Tickets are always listed. People try to get as much as they can. If they don't sell, THEY ACTUALLY GO. Plus, not as if 2K won't be there for the game. |

Does the longer layoff help the team move past the loss or makes the loss linger and sting even more? If they win, it will be the former. If they lose, it will be the latter. |

Could be a positive. More time to settle down & focus on details. I think Game 3 will be more like 1, a 2 or 3-1 game, just have to make sure we're on the winning end this time. Game 2 was quirky & probably won't see that outburst again from either team. |

I can't tell if you're bad at trolling, or actually dumb. In case it's the latter, I'll help you out - You tried, futilely, to compare the Tire Centre's hundreds of empty inexpensive lower bowl seats at puck drop, to MSG's handful of expensive nosebleeds available the day before a game. So all you're doing is reminding people of how poor the Senators appear to be at filling seats, and reflecting poorly on your team's fanbase. |
