Passing on Provorov was a head scratcher. Patrick is 6'3 190, he will fill out and become more durable. He's exactly what we need a highly talented big right handed center. I get Hischier had a great year, but I don't want to pass on Patrick.

Size, skill and a high IQ. 205 points in 163 games with the Wheat Kings. He may not be McDavid or Matthews, and he had a few injuries as a teenager, but nothing about him says "bust"

No... Matthews is franchise player. Patrick reminds me more of Sean Couturier...

If RNH had gone 5th in that draft, it would be like "Well he's pretty good"... I don't really call him a "bust"... he didn't live up to expectations but he's still a decent 2nd line center. Kind of like what Max Reinhart will be.
