No way Vegas takes stajan, 20 points a season @3+? They would have to send a pick yo have that contract taken .I'm sure they would rather take shinkaruk or chaisson. - coryberg2
The thing with vegas is they are going to have to take some players that have cap hits from some teams ...not saying they will do this with the flames but they can't just take all young guys with low cap hits
He went 5/8. I think faceoffs are one of the stronger aspects of his game. - Saskabush
Sure didn't look like it in camp. He pointed it out himself as an area of weakness.
Are you sure Ryan Strome doesn't just suck at faceoffs? 42.7% on the year. That was who Janko was mostly matched against in his 10:18 of ice time that game.
I'm a Janitor fan, but he looked in camp like that's an area that still needs work. Hopefully he's come a long way this year.

Maybe
I just remembered reading a "Heat Report" awhile back that said he had been reliable in the faceoff circle all year long.
Maybe he wouldn't match up well against regular NHLers, but we won't really know until the time comes. All evidence points towards him being decent at draws, another off season of training shouldn't hurt either
On another note. I might have to start watching these Stockton games. They're heading to Game 5. This game actually looked pretty entertaining (the announcer was pumped up about it anyway )

He was always takin it faceoffs for Providence. I'm pretty sure it's one of his strengths. I can't say for sure what his AHL stats are but in college he was good on the dot.

They only have to hit 60% of the cap in the draft even if the cap goes up that's only 45 mil at most. At 30 players that's only 1.5 mil per player. I have no doubt that Vegas will select players with bigger contracts but they will be looking for long term fits or players that they can flip for assets. Stajan os neither.
