"The Blackhawks...
I am just starting to hear rumblings about Chicago and Drouin. They appear to be tied too the early exit and initial reaction to the surprise way the Nashville series went down...The Hawks could be bold. They have some very experienced talented D men...."

Drouin would be solid.

The main problem is not the perception that he's too small but that he's an RFA and will be asking for a lot.

Stevie Y already knows that this could be an issue considering who he has to sign and it's a perfect out for this well-documented Tampa/Drouin situation .

Drouin is pretty solid on his skates and has a gritty side to his game. Another top 6 LW would help.

So - just thinkin' here - if the Hawks moved Seabrook for Drouin - the Hawks would save $6.875.

Resign Drouin for $4/$5 - not bad.

If he gets an offer sheet for $6/$7 - Hawks would get a first, second, and third in 2018.

Problem is - they have no replacement for Seabrook.

Yup, he has to sign Drouin, Palat and Tyler Johnson and probably can't do all 3.

There will be no shortage of suitors for Drouin, somebody will make a big time offer and probably better than what Stanbo can do. He'd have to offer Hammer at least. Yzerman won't have any interest in Panarin at his wages and he will have taken note of his playoff performances.

Similar to the confirmed goal when Crawford got a elbow to the head and NHL said it was a good goal. I disagree on both rulings, but at least they are being consistent with their bad calls. As far as Getzlaf is concerned, he has a PPG scoring pace in his Playoff Career and now has 5 multi point games this post-season. He could play for my team any day. Insane skill, size and plays with a physical edge. One of the best Centers in the NHL for a while now.

I would have been so very totes ok with Crawford letting out his inner Billy Smith after that particular cheap shot.

Eh, Send kruger and panarin to colorado for Duchene and then move hammer to toronto or the jets for a cost controlled young defender with upside and go from there.

Drouin would be a great add , but don't think we have what TB is looking for . I don't believe the HAWKS will do or are even able to do much in the trade market this off season . Most likely more kids coming our way .The 1st wave last year had a great debut helping win the Conf. ,they also had a somewhat disappointing playoff to say the least . That is growing pains IMO and they will learn from that experience I think.

If the HAWKS did do the big trade ,how about Panarian and Jhammer plus our 1st to Col foe Landerskog and Barrie plus their 1st

The hawks have a lot of swedish d'men and the bolts have Victor Hedman. He has to know some of the hawks guys, and maybe there's one or two he'd vouch for to Yzerman. Meanwhile the hawks need a left wing that can produce, kinda like Drouin.

Williams plays Wing. I still say that Orpik and Holtby are the scapegoats for this 3-1 series lead. Holtby has an 0.867 save % and Orpik has been burned on multiple odd man rushes. Ovi of course will get the blame, whether that is warranted or not is up for debate. It is a team sport, after all....

It's a team sport but it's on Orpik and Holtby?

It's not as black and white as you make it - Stan has made some prudent trade and draft decisions. However, the rock this team is going to struggle to get out from under are the 19 & 88 contracts for the sum total of $21M. Those contracts were predicated on the cap going up much more than it has - AND - both players maintaining or even improving their level of play throughout the duration of their contracts. 88 has kept up his end of the bargain - 19 - not so much.

When the opponent.faces Chicago the main thrust is to stop Kane. Panarin is the other force.

Trade Panarin then Chicago will be not a one line team, but a one player team to
