Kinda no lose if van wins. Will be funny to see benning go off the board in june.
Even if he doesn't, at best they get a 2c - Tumbleweed
Gotta be honest, I think that Hischier has a chance to be a special player. I'd be much more excited about him than Patrick. |

Maybe.. All I know is at this point last year i have at least heard of Hirschier and Patrick. I have no idea who's next. Has hockey stopped producing major talent?? |

It all averages out... but it just so happened that there was a major amount the last couple of years that somewhat skewed perceptions of what's available at the draft. This year is probably more like the 2012 draft in that the true elite talent isn't there, but there are still some guys who should turn into productive NHLers.
Or to put it another way, we hit rock bottom at just the right time... |

Calgary needs a goaler...unfortunately I think they'll get him moved.
I'm surprised Darling was only traded for a 3rd...I thought they'd get more. - Garnie

I think if the Leafs could add another top 4D and 1 more scoring winger they could be called a contender. I'd even take a risk on a guy like Radulov for our second line. For defence I think there's two options. Either go big after a guy like Doughty and instnalty making them one of the best defensive groups in the league, or make a minor-ish trade for some depth and hope Rielly/Zaitsev can continue to develop. |

Are they making NHL players appear more feminine and discussing how hot the resultant faces are? |

For Nylander + I'd be okay with it.
Where exactly do we see Bill Nye in 4 years? Our 2C? Still on AM34's wing? Either way he's going to be a great player and LA would love to have him. I'm not one of those guys who want to trade him, but I also don't see him as a lifer in TO. |

Some guy's on there saying Rielly and Zaitsev are 3rd pairing and we should trade Rielly and another B level player for help on D.
I start ripping into the guy, nothing malicious or personal, and the mods start deleting the posts. I've received an infraction and am now chastising them for being the Thought Police

Rags score again, now at 4-2.
Anderson was looking solid, and has now let in 3 on his last few shots. |

Odds of knuckleheads to pick first overall = 12.1%
Odds of Benning making a bonehead pick = 98%
Nah, we don't want Tkachuk, let's take (will be ready in 10 years) Juolevi

Not a chance - in two years he wil be winning Powerball Lotto and everyone knows it. Besides, Lombardi gave 12 goal scorer Kopitar $10 Million a year for 7 more years. Brown has 5 more left at $5.875 Mil - thats about $16M for 26 goals - NICE. A player or two (depending on needs, quality) a first rounder and some salary relief gets it done.

Agree, not worth it. Would rather take Shattenkirk for 7X7 and give up nothing. |

Rags score again - Skjei makes a beauty defensive play, then picks up a drop, drags, and fires 5 hole on a 4 on 2 rush |

There we go.
Plus a few years of Leafs making playoffs and the HRR will be enough to set the salary cap up by at least his salary... |

What's the scoop on Calle Rosen? The next Zaitsev or borderline leaf? - TheMussel
Rosén, a left-handed shot listed at 6’0, 176 pounds, made the jump to top-flight Swedish hockey in 2015-16, recording 14 points in 52 games for Vaxjo Lakers HC and a further five points in 13 playoff games.
In his sophomore year in the SHL in 2016-17, Rosén finished 11th among defencemen in points scoring and second among U24 defencemen with 19 points in 41 games played. His partnership alongside Philip Holm was seen as one of the most reliable defence pairings in the league, with Holm finishing at the top of the SHL in plus/minus at +24 and Rosén not far behind at +19 (sixth among SHL defencemen).....BLAH BLAH BLAH |
