Welp. I called it. Being more aggesisive paid off. All year this team has been better when they attack. Staying back and playing defensively only gets us in trouble. Silverburg what can i say. Been telling you guys for years he can score. #ohahsilverburg. Damn. In need to start getting paid for my analyst. So. It's your move Edmonton

Um. The last time I looked, the Oilers were still up in this series 2-1.

It just happened. Cogliano got knocked down behind the net and gets no call. Corey Perry runs into Mc David in what the network announcers called incidental contact and Perry got the call against him. Because it was Connor Mc Jesus. That's the way it is with superstars.

Boohoo. Getzlaf has been pulling crap the entire series and gets called for nothing. Also Kesler. Your team deserves zero love from officiating, yet they get it anyways.

Don't start crying about the officials. Crap calls go both ways.

This group can’t afford to get too inflated. There is a lot of hard work ahead. Nevertheless, this was a good win.

Connor McDavid will take whatever space the opposing team will give him as long as he is at least retaining speed and moving closer toward the net. Like any team in all sports, other players pick up habits from their team’s best player. Two of the goals were preventable simply by limiting time and space. Am I being a nuisance? If not, that’s making the Oilers lives easier. Persistent, disciplined harping will make their lives much more difficult.

There are a lot of positives to build off of, but there is still a long way to go.

I hate Lucic so much. He's a 6 foot 5 wussy on skates. Great to see Josh mocking him for keeping those gloves glued on.

You could start your claim to fame by spelling his name right; it's Silverberg, not burg. #iknewishouldnthavesentthathastag.

Nice post. I agree. Nice win. That's all it was. Now, repeat that. McLellan will not make any major changes to counter...he's of the impression this was a fluke. We SoCal's have seen it for years. Carlyle just need to calm his team down a bit and steady as she goes. Good decission to get out of that desolate town and recoup elsewhere.

That call was crap but I'm not sure it was because of McDavid. It was just 2 guys not watching each other that collided, one guy went down and one didn't, so the guy that stayed on his feet got the penalty. Just a bad call, but it happened so quick I get why it was called.

Short of being a mind reader, I can all but guarantee he does NOT think it was nothing more than a fluke. Would anyone outside of the full on homers be truly shocked if u came back and won 4 straight? Doubt it

He flat out stated before the series you guys were the favs. And rightly so I think.
No one, especially those actually in the organizations is dismissing the ducks.

If he doesn't make any changes it's probably because this is the same lineup that still has the series lead, so it's not panic time yet. and we really don't have a ton of other options. A couple I guess, but same as anyone at this time of the season, it'd be bottom pairing guys or 4th liners. Not exactly foundational shakeups.

That said, he has done a bunch of line juggling on the fly. In both games 2 and 3.

You've been telling people on hockeybuzz for years huh? You have barely been on this site for 2 years. So no you have not been telling people for years. Pretty sure they don't need your analytics to see that he can score either lol.

Oh my! I was going to mention your IQ appears to be in the neighborhood of Lucic's. But you've provided that public service by yourself. I wouldn't want to mock you any further than you just mocked yourself.

My first account got deleted. So the years on my account are wrong. Anyways silfverberg always liked playing defense. But his offence came around slowly. But you can always see he had talent. I still think he's gonna be just as good a rackell. Most where calling him a bust 2 years ago. Since he came over from Ottawa. But yeah. Your right. They don't need me. Just like the kings don't need you. But it's nice to right about something. Since we're all amateurs.

I've never gloated about the kings players like you just did. I've never said I told you so because most kings fans know what they have in a player. I just found it funny how you think not one single Ducks fan thought highly of silverberg

Like I said. You didn't tell them anything. They already knew he was good.

Did you think he was good 2 seasons ago when he was on the checking line before being paired with kesler. When silfverberg signed his extension the year before most thought he would be a top 6 guy. But he degressed. It's true though. Not all ducks fans whete down on him. And when he was put on the defensive line most seemed happy about that. But now he has shown offensive potental again because the kessler line has become more of a 2 way line.
2nd point. I've never seen you take a stand for any player or coach. i think it's important that a blogger actually take a stand for something before it hapoens. Weather for good or bad. Because if you don't then really all you are is a troll who goes around stating things after the fact.

The alternative reality going on in that Edmonton thread is shocking. You can feel Hendo trembling as you read his words, he's trying to convince himself of quite a lot.

And you seem to enjoy the reality where your coach didn't start the series complaining about how McLellan would whine about faceoffs and then proceed to moan about how the refs are favouring McDavid (despite plenty of evidence to the contrary) only four days later.

Look, I'm not gonna sit here and say I agree with pretty much anything our blogger said. In fact, I'm of the belief that the calls have been right about what they should be. However, it's worth remembering whose side it was that initiated the whine-fest. It doesn't make Hendo or the others' whining right, but it's the unfortunate precedent that Carlyle set.

Carlyle usually plays things pretty close to the vest. Even if you guys interpret his comments to the most extreme extent, it doesn't justify the absolute madness going on in that thread. Like how Getzlaf is the dirtiest player in the history of the sport. And Lucic is a solid hard-nosed player that tip-toes on the line but doesn't go over it.

Funny that you say this as that's precisely what you've done with those particular fan's statements. From what I've read, they've simply been stating that Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler and Bieksa have some history of dirty plays and you and other Ducks fans have been saying the same of Lucic, Kassian, Maroon and Nurse. With a few exceptions, of course (the crazies).

Neither side is free from the "dirty" label. It's really only one or two guys saying Lucic is just a guy that "plays hard" and "backs it up rather than hiding behind the officials". Most of the fanbase was responding to irony of your post about the irony of Matt's blog.
