just fyi, per the guy i heard on the Play It Again radio show on Saturday morning, Montreal's biggest problem against NY was Dwight King.

I don't really understand the bashing of the Waked signing. It's a freebie and I've seen enough Huskies games to confirm that the guy is a gamer. No, he won't change the face of the franchise, but it's a solid signing. Nothing wrong with getting some good players in the minor-league system.

Exactly, it's the kind of move that doesn't cost the team anything, and with the farm team moving to Laval next season it doesn't hurt to have some local players.

Pacioretty : "It's hard to beat a goalie as dominant as Lundqvist"

They tanked the end of the season, and it worked. Habs ended up in first place, and are done.

Oilers wouldn't need 7 to beat the Sens. And PK will hoist the Cup anyhow. Know why? Cuz he gives to charity.

Plus the draft format really disadvantages first place finishers in bad divisions like the Atlantic.

Karma man, karma.

It's really funny how people forget that he was totally not the same player in Montreal. Took way more risks, felt like he had to do everything on his own, ego was higher. It's just a better fir for him in Nashville where he's not their #1 (and only good) defenseman, with less journalists and visibility.

that's because he was surrounded by mostly poopty offensive players. i don't think it was ego. his ego didn't shrink last June but maybe he's showing that his ego was not what it was portrayed to be here. he doesn't seem to mind playing second fiddle in a small market.
