I've never used any fancy stats. In fact I think his numbers aren't terrible. It sure would be nice if he would break a sweat though, or win a battle on the boards in his own end.

Honestly and sincerely non-argumentatively, don't you see the same? I really do not care about Ebs point production but the play dies with him very often. I think he's checked out somewhat. RNH on the other hand is busting his arse and making defensive plays all over the place. I can't recall many, if any, odd man rushes against him. Meanwhile Ebs is slow to catch up, slow to back check, can't win the battles on the wall. I see RNH covering for Ebs quite a lot. (It also doesn't help that their left winger is slower than shiit).

I like Eberle, I think he has above average skills, but I see him at 70% and I don't like it.

Eberle is terrible. He just made an unforced turnover when we had a 4 on 3 that turned into a 2 on 1 in our zone. He's soft as (frank), has a weak shot, can't skate, doesn't backcheck, doesn't hit, and worst of all he's lost his confidence. Mark my words he won't be an Oiler next year.
