Unless you throw Tavares in that deal, there's no way Yzerman even considers it. - bgainesDM
They are in cap hell I could see harmonic a first and barzal, barzal has talent and high end talent at that, harmonic would be ok as a 3/4 d man behind Hedman and a pick although weak draft. This gives them cap space as hamomic is on a long reasonable deal and barzal could step in on a deep team on an entry level deal. Still this isn't happening and might take even more to get done

5.5 for 5 years if he's on the team. 6 mil for 6 years if he hits UFA. - bgainesDM
Why so little? You convinced me yesterday that JT was holding Bailey back. Pay Bailey whatever he wants! |

A guy who is better than JT and way better than Duchene will cost a lot more than that. |

Hamonic is coming off his worst season in the NHL. His trade value is minimal until he has a bounceback season. That guy who wrote that article must have been on drugs. |

Not sure he's better that's a step. They are close but jt is a better player to me still. Good passer good shot and great hands |

And Kucherov surpasses that and is younger than him as well, which again raises the value. And this is coming from a guy with 3 different JT jerseys. |

He's also got a way better supporting cast and hasn't had to carry a team like jt |

Enough with that excuse. His 5 on 5 line produced less points this year than JT's line. He was shuffled all over the place to the point where I thought Cappy was coaching the damn team. Killorn stunk up the joint and Tyler Johnson was hurt for a while. But even so, he still managed to produce more points per 60 min of play than JT ever did in a season. |

Listen chimpster if your the only real threat you see the other teams top d and forwards every shift every game. That makes it much more difficult to play as opposed to being a secondary option seeing lesser players all game. He had a great year but I'm taking jt over him, I know your a selective stat geek but I'm not buying it. By the way did either of them have more hits than Kane? Bailey had one good year with a lot of primary assists, he must be a superstar too. Tavares literally singlehandedly beat the Panthers in the playoffs along with greiss and let's not forget cappy gave him a different player every game too |

And Cooper did the same with Kucherov this year but still nobody could stop him.
Yup, Tavares did play elite against Florida. How did he look in the next round though? Oh, that's right. Only 1 goal.
I'll go even further and say if Kucherov's healthy for at least 75 games next year, he'll eclipse 90 points.
By the way, regarding secondary scoring, the Islanders team had more goals than Tampa this year. Just saying. |

And neither team made the playoffs, Tavares has been a Hart finalist 2x and it's not because he sucks. I'll say that if it has a good start next year with the same linemates he will be 80 to 90 points. What's wrong with chimpster? |

I don't doubt it, but I really hope the Islanders aren't the ones to pay him that much. |

Whoa whoa. When did I ever say he sucked? I do think Kuch should be a hart finalist though this year. Him, McDavid, and Crosby. Unfortunately, it's Crosby's world, so he'll win it. |

I'd do it only if he shows signs of replicating this years numbers next season. |

Uh Mathews should be there too same amount of goals as a rookie and led his team to playoffs and only player in league to have a shot on goal every game |
