That's really silly. So every player that gets called up no matter what level but doesn't play feels an organization has no faith.... Just silly. If this were any other time of the year we wouldn't even notice.... - youarewrong
Maybe since you just drop in you don't have a frame of reference.
The line was if the kid played and lost his confidence would be shot.
My comment is that this "could" be bad for his confidence
if what all claim that if he played and lost he could be ruined cause he lost a game.

Did you visit the caps blog with all the Pens fans chirping? - dragonoffrost
Nahhh.
Saw the first period of that game and turned it off. Playoffs aren't the same without our boys. Nashville and Edmonton are aight otherwise they all bore me. |

Not every play who gets an emergency recall as a backup/spare skater gets to play. Usually, after a "non-emergency" player is found, the emergency recalled player is no longer on the roster. It has nothing to do with a lack of faith, it has to do with the team preferring more experienced players. |

Hey, how many of you dudes submitted your resume for the open Sabres GM job? It's a golden opportunity for someone here. |

No they told him he was here on emergency basis and he was only here until they had more experienced options. Hence it doesn't mean jack squat for his confidence. - dragonoffrost

That would be classic for an owner to do that.
Imagine when the Flyers fire Hextall (you know it will happen at some point) whoever Comca$t's rep at the time is calls in and mentions the job during the morning show. Angelo would have a heart attack as he offers his services for the job. |

In over 20 simulated seasons in NHL 15 I won the Stanley Cup 10 times. I don't think it's necessary for me to submit a resume at this point. |

I would be better as a coach.
In 1996 Dale Hawerchuk scored 198 points for me centering the second line.

No I was here for that and its still not an issue. Just like the 10-15 games Stolarz sat behind Mason before he got a start. This is only an issue because there isn't anything else to talk about. I like Cory Hart but if being a backup for 1 game for an emergency is going to hurt his confidence then maybe he isn't cut out for the game.
And its my opinion that he wasn't held out because of confidence issues rather then Ouellet has more experience and in an elimination game you go with experience. |

My first act will be trading Jack Eichel, Rasmus Ristolainen, and the next 20 years worth of draft picks to the Flyers for Andrew MacDonald and a 5th. Both Eichel and Risto will be at 50% retained. |

Not talking about the team. I understand why they did it.
I'm saying is that this action could be interpreted by an 18 year old as lack of faith because yesterday everyone was saying a bad game could ruin him.
This action, just like putting him the game to lose could hurt his confidence too.
I do feel he is strong enough mentally that it is all a non factor...

I don't think that's how he'll take it. I think (don't know for sure) that he knew he was basically a backup until they could get someone else with more experience. |

I believe he knew that because I bet that Hextall told him that when he called him to get him here. |

PLind has been quite lately. Perhaps he's on the third interview stage.
