Also mitch stephens, is not a bad prospect. Tampa looks good with all the prospects they have. Yzerman has done a nice job in Tampa.

Redmile, isn't it all fantasy when dreaming up trades?

Gotta start big right ?

Call every GM and say Tanev for your first and best prospect ...and go from there

I would say that Tanev is no where near worth a 1st and a best prospect, but I was honestly leaps and bounds wrong about the return on Burrows, so I need to just let JB do what he needs to do lol

Yesterday when you said pick a side when referring to tanking or selling a product.

Fans will buy in to drafting high and a true rebuild. They will accept and support a two -three year finishing on the bottom.

The product you can't sell is the Sedins on the PP. Edler getting 22 min a night and doing the same stupid things over and over. Tanevs no touch D and signing Miller again to be respectable.

I don't mind losing 5-2 or 7-4 and watching yu ng guys bang, fight , go to the net and compete.

What would bother me is seeing more of the placid flacid Swedes and Tanev.

No he isn't ...but start there ...and work your way down

JB did great at the deadline ...even if both bust out he got more than I would have paid for burrows and Hansen

Apart from the uneducated fans like tanbir, most fans have been calling for a true rebuild for years. There is a reason that fans cheer most at home games when they see a new rookie make his debut, rather than a veteran scoring a goal. Selling the concept of tearing it down, doing a full rebuild, and doing it right would appeal more to fans than this hybrid poop.

Green's job is to build the future . He will fail if he tries to please the country club. If his style is high powered attack then he does not have the proper players. He has to figure out how to please the fans and forget about pleasing the Swedes.

The Plan to get through the season Rebuilt for 2018!

2017 Canucks win 1st lotto slot and go for size and skill to draft Nolan Patrick
JB trades 2018 2nd, CBJ 2nd +Guance for 1st to draft Callan Foote in time.

2018 Sedins announce retirement before TDL.

JB trades Edler, LE (retain salary) plus Rodin to Sens for Brown, Chabot & 2nd

Sutter & Boucher traded to desperate Habs @ TDL for Noah Juulson & 3rd

Adam Gaudette signs ELC ends season ready like BB.

Canucks win 2018 2nd lotto slot and draft RW Andrei Svechnikov

Tree sees Russian love in Nuck land signs 6 year deal as improved player.

Canucks sign E. Kane mature and changed who wants to come home.

2018-2019 season opening roster can then be the following:

26E. Kane 19Patrick 18Svechnikov (future 1st elite talent & Size) "Franchise"
20Brown, 23Bo, 21BB (Temp 1L but future 2L with size/scoring) "killa Bs"
25Granlund 20Gaudette 22Goldy (scoring 3L uses speed and smarts) "3G"
25Sven 20Dahlen 21JV (scoring net driving pressure) "NB" New Balance
20 McEwen (extra for size and grit)

24 Tree 28 Tanev (holding the fort and taking down top lines)
21 Chabot 24 Stecher (offensive pressure and speed)
20 OJ 25 Guddy. ( OJ PP specialist and protected by hard nosed Guddy)
Extras 25 Hutton (LH) and 21 Juulson (RH) to rotate in from Chabot to Guddy.
*19 Foote marinates until Tanev is traded.

28 Markstrom and 22 Demko rotate in goal.

After shedding vets and pump and dump by JB roster is turned around. Green has his young, fast team that pressures and scores. Coaches them to playoffs. Oldest players are 26 Kane and 28 Tanev (until traded) plus 28 Marky the new longest serving Canuck. Every one else is under 25 years old. Only two teens.

JB trades Edler, LE (retain salary) plus Rodin to Sens for Brown, Chabot & 2nd

so Aging + bad contract, Aging plus bad contract (salary retained) and a peach for a good prospect, one of the best defensive prospects and a 2nd round pick?

Sutter & Boucher traded to desperate Habs @ TDL for Noah Juulson & 3rd

Sutter and a waiver wire to Habs for their 2nd best defensive prospect and a 3rd?

These are pretty unrealistic man..

honestly, what makes it worse for them is their playing style. Plenty of players, who were once 1st liners, often take pay cuts and move down the line up and are still somewhat productive. The Sedins playing style doesn't make them a fit for every line. They are certainly not a checking line, not fast enough to be 2nd line, and I can't even list the reasons why they couldn't play 4th line. They are actually no longer serviceable past next year...

I'll bring the matches lol. Just need to see a different mix, new blood, done with the twins, as much as I respect them it's just time for change.

Maybe a little break will do me good
