Penguins played it safe too early and ceded some momentum. Is what it is. Penguins have a lot of room to get better by Saturday night. - hardnosed
Gotta think Hags helps out there. |

Paging fleury haters.... thats all fleury haters.... please come to the board. Flower friggin killed it tonight. Great Defense in periods 1 and 2. Caps just turned on the gas in the 3rd. 71 has gotta be better and he will. - nelson911

Can't be any worse than Sheary was tonight ... wow he was awful |

I'm pretty sure he called 93.7 today complaining to Ron Cook, because he used the phrase "4 goal Fluery" like five times bemoaning how he wasn't going to get it done. He's such a chickensh*t, he'll never show up to give MAF and credit. - Emperor Filonius
What do the pens do of maf can run the table again and snag a cup? We have young injury prone Murray that is showing signs of weakness (Jim Carrey.. .lol). We also have a killer prospect in jarry. I think Murray can go either way with that high glove. It's gonna improve or always be an issue. The 4 some odd injuries already are an issue. Before he fully (potentially) falls apart...paging pouliot....can the pens ship him westward for a decent young haul? |

IF Hags can play Saturday....thats a big IF, I would sit Sheary for a game. It did wonders for his game last year, perhaps it will this year. He was just bad, I mean really bad tonight. Caps already trying to goon it up in game one, thats a good sign for the Pens. |

Agreed. 6. Games in..so far so good. If maf implodes it's an easy solution. |

Pens have a permanent nesting place in the heads of the Caps. The Caps need to perform and exorcism or they will never be successful |

Nothing better than coming back from an admittedly poorly timed date night in Londontown to see we stole game 1. Hell (frank)ing yeah
Fleury must have had a hell of a game. I didn't read a single "what the hell was that, MAF" post the entire thread. Always good to see. Fleury goes godmode and we're in business |

3-2 ain't almost spot on to 4-3 in a sport where goals are tough to come by, bub |

I am so happy for MAF and he's an all time great Penguin, but Murray is still the goalie of the future beyond this season. He has a cap friendly deal and Despite all these supposed "issues" with his glove (just nitpicking IMHO), he managed a save percentage amongst the league leaders and equal to that of Carey Price. You deal MAF, and go with Murray and Jarry. Hopefully MAF leaves town with another well earned ring. |

Maatta had a strong game defensively as well, in my opinion. |

If he somehow gets us into the ECF it will be the greatest tending performance for the Penguins. This team is struggling defensively. Something has to change if they're gonna repeat.
Malkin has to play a better 200ft game. Sheary needs at least one night off. Hags can't come back soon enough. |

I agree. I thought he had a bunch of little breakups on potential two on one's and other dangerous opportunities. I'm sure the fancy stats suck, but I imagine everybody's did |

He is very good with his stick. I don't have a problem with Maatta if he plays like that for this series. I think Streit should come in for Hainsey. He is awful. I didn't notice Daley too much which is a good thing in his case. |
