What do you guys think of Vesalainen ? I haven't seen him mentioned in here ( I mean as an option to trade back into the first for ). I was just watching his highlights and he is big and one thing I noticed was how strong he was on the puck and how he won all the puck battles in the corners and on the wall. I also noticed he used his team mates very little, which I liked and disliked all at once lol. I also really like the stock of big fins that have been coming up so it makes me think he could be a better player then what he is currently ranked. I certainly wouldn't mind a pure shooter this draft though and I think we have one in Joey Anderson but one more would still be good and hopefully find a couple gem defence men in the second and third rounds.

I like Vasalainen a lot. After Cody Glass, I believe he's the best all around forward. But with the Devils position at #5 I'd take Makar or Haiskanen. We need a dynamic defensemen. Makar is righty so I'd take him first, if he's on the board, but Haikanen is a 17 year old playing with men in the Finnish League and holding his own.

Tippet has the best shot in the draft by far, based off many scouting reports. but he has discipline issues, commitment issues, motivational and emotional issues, and doesn't play D at all. That's too much baggage to carry on a team that needs a young stud. I have to admit I was all-in on Tippet but after seeing consistent reports on his behavior got me thinking.
