Idk. I want them to go offense in the 1st. I think after that you have to take two corners.

Usually I post about hockey or try to make folks laugh, but tonight is going to be a very rough night for me. Our dog has been very sick the past couple months and tomorrow we will be taking her to the vet for the last time. Right now, she's curled up next to me and I'm just trying not to completely lose it, but it's really hard not to.

Sorry about the loss of your family member, BiggE. Hang in there.

The best part about having a dog is you literally are the reason for that pup's happiness. You gave your good girl the greatest life in the world and you guys are all she knows. Rest assured knowing she enjoyed, literally, all of her life because of you.

My thoughts are with you, sir. We made a similar trip with our 16 year old shepherd 3 weeks ago. We knew it was the right time for her. I was not going to let her suffer. It still was little comfort having to say goodbye to our Sasha.

Wow, so sorry to hear that. The bond between man and his pet dog is incredibly strong. That is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life. I know what you're going through. My condolences to you and your family.

We're a big dog family (we currently have 5 rescued). I've been through it many times and it never gets any easier. I'm a grown man and I've crumbled in a vet parking lot before.

Enjoy her and if she's eating let her eat anything that makes her happy. Ice cream, a double cheese burger, a cut up steak... you'll feel better if you can make her happy.

Worse decision you ever have to make is knowing when it's time and not jumping the gun or delaying. Just an absolutely impossible decision.

All my best to you... I'm sure you were a great caretaker.

Yeah, I shared some ribs with her earlier, she loved em. She has a neurological disorder and can barely walk at this point. I've been through this before but it never gets easier.

My own dog lived to 16 before he had a brain tumor. He was only a few months older than me; I didn't know a time without him. Staring at my 15 year old girl right now, and it hurts to imagine, even though I know I'll have to more than imagine soon.

I feel for you, BiggE. We should all be so lucky to receive the cover-to-cover love of a dog's life. And I have no doubt you gave her that -- and her you -- and you're giving it to her today.

Spent the last hour just playing guitar for her, every time I play, since she was a pup, she would curl at my feet as long as I was playing.

Here is my thought. Yes Ottawa or Rangers might get to the conference finals without a true #1 center but does anyone expect them to get past Washington or Pittsburgh?

- youarewrong

I could honestly see either one of Ottawa or NYR knocking off Caps or Pens. If Caps make the conference finals I'm betting against them. I refuse to believe they're ever getting it done lol. Pens you never know when Fleury might fall apart.

Also, as someone else pointed out, Nashville and St. Louis, especially St. Louis don't have dominant centers either. I didn't even look them up for my initial post.

I don't know how STL shuffles lines, but the guys listed as centers and point totals this year are...
Stastny - 40
Berglund - 34
Fabbri - 29

Nashville had Johansen with 61 points playing all 82 games and Mike Fisher with 42 points. And I think Nashville has a good shot at winning the cup. St. Louis too.

The point is, plenty of teams are going deep in the playoffs without elite centers.

If you go back a bit further, the Devils won 3 Cups without a real 1st line center. If one of Sandstrom/Hart turn into an all star goalie and Myers and Sanheim reach their full potential, the Flyers may be able to do so as well.

If I remember right one of those Devils cup wins while they may not have had a true number 1 they did have the highest scoring line in the league.

They had some very talented forwards, but it seemed their best were usually wingers. They won with goaltending, a great D group and a deep group of forwards that all played their system perfectly.
