Oilers beat the Ducks 3-2 during the season. Eventually people are going to have to start accepting that the Oilers are actually good and their wins are earned. Ducks were one of the most penalized teams in the NHL so giving up a lot of PPs shouldnt surprise anyone. They gave up a ton of PPG to Calgary and they're just fortunate that Elliot was complete trash or that series would have been a lot longer.

It's not about acceping the oilers. Im just saying we didn't play our best game. If you wana talk about how good they are you should wait till they after the playoffs. Then you'll know for sure. But if you want me to guess I'd say there better than Calgary. I know thats not saying much but at least Edmonton has a goalie.

Actually Edmonton went 1-2-2 against the Ducks. Overtime 3 on 3 wins vs 5 on 5 is a big difference. I'm not taking anything away from Edmonton. A very impressive club for sure, but now overtime is 5 on 5, and the Ducks are a far more difficult team to play against that way vs. 3 on 3.

Edmonton lost game 1 at home in the first round, and came back to win the series. Ducks need to win game 2 as well. Going down 0-2 and heading out on the road is not ideal at all.

The reason for the ducks fans optimism is that our did play there best game. The focus wasn't there. A lot of stupid mistakes. Like lindholm taking that high stick penalty. Or Josh mansin turning his back to play the rebound in the 5th goal. Everything that happened wasn't forced by the oilers but was mental. Look for a much sharper game in number 2. Also i think the oilers played almost a perfect game for them . I don't think they repeat that. Especially 2 goals from larsson. Doubt that happens again

I'd actually agree with ducks fans on this. Ducks played a poor game. They still barely lost and it was on an absolutely flukey type goal. But a loss is a loss. The ducks have to win tonight or they're in extreme trouble. Larsson won't score a goal the rest of this series, that much I can guarantee you. But McDavid seems poised to start exploding on the scoresheet very soon. And that would be a massive problem for the ducks winning this series.
