Would you consider Mackinnon a 1st line center?

that i will call BS on , there have been many examples of world junior stars who never pan out , one for example would be justin pogge , alex steward , cody hodgson , to this point nic petan , carlo coliaccivo , and many more , and these the canadians that come to mind
- onesmallleap

So glad you mentioned Nic Petan. Guess who coached him in Portland? Yes that's correct. Travis Green.

Maybe
- Redmile247

Well I didn't ask you but since you said "maybe". Bo scored 1 less point then Mackinnon did this year. Same age, Mackinnon has 1 more year under his belt which in his first year he was awesome. (63) Since then 38, 52, 53. On a poopty team with a way better roster then Van's.

I saw him play as a 16 year old and he took a pass off his back skate up to his stick and saucered the puck over the D mans stick to his teammate for an easy goal.

It was Sidney Crosby like.

Last season 101 and helped the team to a Men cup appearance.

This year without him bounced first round in the playoffs.

I've seen him play probably 30 times at least in the past 3 years.

Long answer is... Is whether he can stay healthy he will be a player that turns around the franchise. Not Auston Matthews or McDavid but not far behind. Leon Drisital or Jack eichel.

No one else was answering so I took it upon myself

I use his numbers as my reasoning why he isn't ...but if he puts up 70-80 points next year I wouldn't be surprised ...he has the potential

During the time out to attend to the injured preds player, Jim Hughson asked the question how will the oilers deal with Kesler and Bieksa. Like they were the only weapons the ducks have. Bieksa's having a good playoffs but he's no real threat. Those young oilers should be able to skate right past Bieksa.
