Are you saying Murray won't be back at all? - Aussiepenguin
I'm not counting on Murray this round no...and my score prediction is based on the number of odd man chances they were giving up against Columbus. |

My response was tongue in cheek referring to "4 goal" Fleury. Hopefully they tighten up like they did last year & the 'team' D gets it together & reduces the turnovers & odd man rushes against.
If we can start well (win 1 of the 1st 2 games then the pressure will count & be a real factor against the Caps in my opinion. If Kuni gets to drive OV crazy early as well to get him off his game & that turd Oshie gets sanctioned for his inevitable grubby play, it's game on! |

The series is a crap shoot. With the offensive talent on both sides it's impossible to tell who's going to win. |

IMO it all comes down to MAF. If he can just hold up his end of the bargain then I like the Pens chances.

I think it comes down to team defense. If they can tighten things up and get the puck out of the D zone better than they did against Cbus, I think we can win.
Admittedly, I'm a little worried. Letang is such a big loss. |

Yeah this the best chance the Caps have had to take the Pens out...but this is why they play the games. See what happens. |

Pens had a few extra days to develop and practice their strategy. I expect them to come out and look sharp. |

That would be a much welcomed change from the first round. |

They were practicing a lot of close quarters wall chips to exit and enter the zone. Looks like they are going to try and spread the D out wide, probably try and take advantage of Orpik and Alzner's (when he gets back) mobility and get their D to chase them into the corners.. hopefully opening up the slot for some prime chances. |

I am confident in Sully he will have them playing the right way. Of course Fleury is the wild card but I think he will be fine. Get to holtby early on have Horny fall on him a few times and see where it goes. |

I saw after the reinjury it was 2-3 weeks timeline minimum... But, without this round being won that also falls into your info |

MM is definitely a Penguin, how many games has he been out due to injury over his short career? I believe he's played 83 games total Playoffs and RS. |

Lets be realistic. This may not even be close. Caps will be icing one of the best defensive pairings in recent memory. The pens blueline looks like something the Vegas team would be icing. The Caps no major injuries of note. Meanwhile the pens are short a 1D, the 'ideal' tender, a top nine winger and Kunitz (nvm, i guess he's back?). The caps are employing a goalie who has I believe the best current sv% in the playoffs - maybe even one of the best all-time. Then pens have a guy aptly named 4-goal. The pens have mike sullivan, but barry trotz is one sexy mofo. The pens have a lot of firepower, but as Gunner will have you know, it might be a wash if the caps keep the puck hemmed in the zone with guys like daley patrolling our zone. Ovechkin speaks perfect english. Malkin still can't put a sentence together.
Keeping all of these factors in mind, Pens in five.

Sounds like Hags will be back very soon. He did a normal morning skate and ditched the "no contact" jersey. Kunitz is playing tonight.
I think it will be Pens in 7 with Chad Ruhwedel eventually getting a spot. Who needs Letang. |

Hopefully they draft the opposite of Jarvis Jones. |
