Anybody into Prison Break? I watched it from the start, and the new ones are pretty good so far.
- adambuffalo

I watched part of the first episode of the new one. I stopped when they were at the airport. I'll get back to it.

I was confused as to why Buffalo was in the show though. Why would C-Note come here? Did they ever explain that?

Enough with the game playing, we need a LHD dman and trading our number 1 this year can get us that. Give it to the Jets for Trouba and be done with this already.

Trouba is a righty

Yeah, it's always interesting to see how shows and movies portray bad guys as main characters. The good ones almost make them into sympathetic characters. That and in that situation there were no "good" guys. I don't have any sympathy toward the sicarios, but you gotta be pretty (frank)ed up yourself to do what the "good" guys did to them to get their info. And they actually dialed it back in the show. Quite a bit. I didn't see once instance of a "Colombian Necktie" in the show.
- Wetbandit1

Yeah. I almost don't like that this show makes me feel bad for Pablo Escobar

No hes not but hes a very very good player that is established in the league that the Jets spent years developing.

There are no can't miss prospects in this years draft. Why would they want to move arguably their best Dman to add potentially another fwd?

He has been all over the map on some mock drafts....anywhere from 5th overall to 14th overall. But right now Scouting has him at 9th or 10th on most lists if I'm correct

Really doesnt seem to be any consensus on how the top ranked D men will be going. Its wild since there is no clear cut Best Dman in the draft

- DDM-Coga

I think his skating ability & upside will have someone (maybe us) draft him in the top10
He's being compared to Karlsson

I'd certainly take him. I don't watch much Wild Hockey so just not familiar with what he brings. Will be interesting to see what the Avs and Swords can pick up at expansion time. Both teams will look to improve dramatically and I think can be successful.
- RhinoFan

Avs have cap room to absorb bad contracts in an effort to get young players.
There has been some rumour talk about Avs going after Drouin by giving up Barrie, and absorbing Garrisons contract.

Avs lightning almost made a trade for him 2 years ago, so who knows.

Bring in Patrick (or whatever in draft). Drouin and Hanifin and send up barrie duchene Reload this bad boy

I'd like to get Trouba,
But what would we give back?

I'm guessing it would take something like Reinhart or Nylander,
and we might have to add a young defenseman like Borgen or Fitzgerald

There will be a number of teams interested
We might not have the pieces they're looking for

I don't think its very far off. I like Risto more but Trouba but its really what sort of Man do you like more when it comes to the 2.

I put a lot of stock in 5v5 as well, but yost is a stats boy so he goes hard on that stuff...since last year it was 29 5v5 pts for Trouba to 20 5v5 pts for Risto. He will bang on that dumb all day

That could be plausible

Hanafin for Duchene seems like such a good fit for both teams

It'll just depend if a team offers a big name. If Duchene is on the way out then I don't think, if he's offered, we have anything remotely close to match with. If other teams can see the Jets are in a bad spot and play some hard ball...we could squeak into convo.

They won't solve this over night, but if they can be smart and move out guys of good value but who are 25-26 years old and add 19-20 year old guys to go along with their 22 and younger guys in MacK, Jost, Rantanan, Compher, and Zads.

Just add youth to that new core and try to reset this thing with hoping in 2 years, all these guys mature together

I think besides Kane, most of our team in general struggled 5v5

Those stats aren't useless...
But they aren't the end all, be all either

As our team improves,
So will individual's analytics stats

It really does, I think both teams could come out very happy and don't have to over complicate it by adding draft picks, prospects.

just do 1 for 1, get what you want and move on

Like what the Pegula's have accomplished in Buffalo since their arrival .. nothing but respect.............. but I have zero faith Terry and Kim are able to land the right GM for the Sabres.

Gotta have hockey people making these calls (which they don't have i know).

- fastek

You make zero (frank)ing sense dude. You like what they've done but don't have faith in them to what? Continue to blindly run sports teams?

It was rumored that Murray did not have any answers for the questions Pegula had. No matter what job you have, if your performance goes down, and your boss asks why, you say "I Don't know, have patients" you are most likely fired on the spot.
GMTM made a lot of mistakes in drafting (the second round in 2014, cornell and karaback, horrible) and trading (bogo, gorges fashing+dlo), as has been said many times on this board, he had almost unlimited resources when it came to picks and prospects and a last place finish in the division is what it got him.

- Sabres1523

In my experiences, this is very not true. All of my management in recent memory have been complacent literal (frank)ing idiots who sit on their hands and keep saying "Tomorrow" or "In the near future" about anything concerning results.

Either way, Murray shouldn't have been fired, no matter what way you look at it, he deserved another year.

Pegula is running these teams like a 5 year old runs his Madden franchise, except he forgot to set it to "Easy" and keeps playing on All-Madden wondering why his team can't win, firing guys left and right since he got here.

The guy is coming across as a very lucky "businessman" who happened to study and invest in the right business at the right time, who throws money around like a madman and fires people for his lack of foresight and patience.

Dexter was kind of like that, but he was a fictional character. And I will be forever grateful for: https://youtu.be/_bSEfx6D8mA

I totally missed it, what happened in the game? Go into the boards weird? Pull a Brent Burns?

ESPN is poop. It covers the NFL like a soap opera. They are OBSESSED with trying to promote the NBA as this amazing league and sport that (outside of the last 4 minutes of a game) is boring as poop. NHL doesn't exist in their minds. And they employ individuals who are outspokenly racist against white people but will fire a conservative commentator the second he says something that could be even a tiny bit questionable.

Good riddance to that joke of a network.

- feetontheair22

Good. Lord. What.

Just, no. Man, we get it, it sucks that you're white and you think you're discriminated against, good lord.
