Personally, Guru, as soon as Magnus Paaaaaaarvi scored the OT winner i heard your voice in my head.
Just been waiting for you to bust my chops about him being better than i give him credit for. - bcallaway

No sweep or five games this round, I feel this one is going Seven. Of course I want the Predators to advance, but I'm smart enough to know the Blues present a difficult road ahead. Whoever comes out this series, I hope has enough left for the Ducks/Oilers (that series is going deep too). Here's to a great series everyone. Peace. |

The Preds were missing players too for that game... Our Captain, Wilson, and Josi among others.. - PredFan1
I thought Mike Fisher was Preds captain? He played 15 minutes that game. Colin Wilson played 14 minutes. Roman Josi played 25 minutes. |

Man, there are a ton of tickets still not sold for tonight and Friday.
Right now, I am just hoping it sells out. Seems like a tall task though with how many are available, especially for a weekday game.
- carcus
It might sellout now that its raining and the Cards game was postponed.

Sales overplayed their hand. Prices for round 2 are nonsense. 140 for a seat that was 40 in reg season. - Gerk
agreed. Tickets i bought in January 125.00/each now 360.00/each |

I don't believe that prices are set by the Blues. Or at least the NHL has a say in what is charged. |

I'd like to see him get a full NHL season with Barbashev and Agostino/Sanford. I know we're still alive, but has anyone thought about the roster next year? Seems to me that we have about five too many left wingers. |

I think they did start their backup goalie though didn't they? I do think the Blues will make Rinne look a lot more average than the Hawks did but they will have to control the play more than they did against the Wild. Preds will have much better shots coming from the blue line. Blues are gonna have to do a good job of shutting down their top line too. |

Love lot of your players boys, but have to say the slow and heavy D-first style is boring as hell to watch.

Think Bortuzzo will get the book thrown at him for that? There was a bit of a check to the head before Fiala went down. |

I agree. I was only asking because I could almost hear the collective moaning from Preds fans when they showed the high angle. |

Subban's pick led to Parayko's trip and should have been called.
That led to the rest of the second period being crazy

Agreed. They missed the pick and called the trip. That's lazy officiating right there.
But the Blues were lackluster throughout the period, and undisciplined. Honestly, they didn't play any different than they did against Minnesota, they just didn't have an unbelievable performance from Jake Allen.
Which many thought would be problematic at some point. They were relying a lot on him back there.
i think they'll bounce back. Rinne wasn't anything to write home about either.
i was alarmed at how ill prepared the Blues seemed to be regarding PK Subban. Have they never seen him play before? He basically controlled the first two periods.
And at some point very soon, the Blues need to get some production from their top two goal scorers, don't they? They've combined for one goal.

Blues looked flat in the second but there were plenty of missed calls on the predators last night
WTH was that by Watson on Vova?
All night Subban was clutching grabbing interfering
Its like just because the preds beat the hawks they get the benefit of being a three time Stanley cup winning team.
The ridiculous slash by Neal on Steen in the faceoff dot come on you have to call that
Blues will bounce back
YOu need Tarasenko and Schwartz to get the chances the fourth line was getting

Bottom line on the officiating is we've got to be more disciplined. I like us 5v5 in this series. Almost half of their shots and a lot (I'm not positive how many) of their scoring chances came on the PP. I thought this was mostly subsequent to the fact that we could not win a face off on the penalty kill. When the preds win 5-6 draws in a row and automatically get their big guns set up they can get several good scoring chances in a short amount of time. Keep in mind all of those shots/chances came in <6min as they ended up scoring on two of the power plays before they expired. Maybe Steen can take those face offs?
Also, was it just me or did Petro seem to have an off night? Mishandled a lot of pucks and seemed to lose his footing a lot more than usual.
