Not as bad as Beaulieu. Could send them both to Buffalo to be reunited with their buddy Evander Kane.
EDIT : For Sam Reinhart...I wouldn't mind. |

In the end, it's Galchenyuk that will decide if he's gonna become a top player in the league or a failed talented prospect.
Hopefully he makes the right choice for the team and himself. |

Everybody is on Kane's back but he scored 28 goals |

I think he's better at wing. Unless he's paired with a creative winger like Radulov.
I'd like to see Lekhonen - Galchenyuk - Radulov next year.
But Radulov won't be back so Byron will be on our first line. - Fredobbface
Radulov scares me... I mean there's a bunch of conflicting signs with him...
Signs that point to:
- Could be another case of a pending UFA who has a really good season to get a big last payday that the team will instantly regret.
- He did seem to love playing in Montreal, the atmosphere, the adulation of the fans ect...
- He's old, and as a bit of recklessness to his style, which never ages well.
That said, I'm not sure what would be more favorable...a longer contract with a lower annual average (5-6 years at $5M or $5.5M per...), or a shorter contract for a higher annual average (2-3 years at $7M per...).
But the habs are a bit screwed, because Radulov was almost 1/2 of their offence up front (the other 1/2 being that big wussy we call a captain). So he's got leverage should he want to play hardball. And knowing the habs' proficiency for finding offence, what other choices do they have?

Honestly, it really would be a dangerous line.
But Radulov is staying here. |

I'm not sure how Dubas is going to keep the team under the Cap with Tavares, Thornton, Shattenkirk and Vlasic on the squad. |

my assumption is that Bergevin's preference is to make a bigger splash around the draft to add offence. if that can't be done they'll sign Radulov. what other choice do you have? go into the season with the same roster that couldn't score this year, minus one of the two guys that can actually provide consistent offence? |

He's not going to resign Radulov.
There's going to be a press conference to explain us how he has to be responsible with the cap.
Press conference at the end of next year that explains how sometimes you have to take one step back for two steps forward. |

If that's the case, then there will be a press conference at the end of next year explaining why Bergevin was let go and how this new guy will be different (but he won't...it'll be the same thing all over again...).

disagree. i think people need to remember that Radulov scored 50 points this year. we're not talking about Jamie Benn. we lose our poop over 50 points because our forwards are (frank)ing terrible but the reality is, it's barely even first line production, if that. no one is throwing $6-$7 million at the guy. his cap hit won't be much differnt from what it was this year.
also is Bergevin doesn't find some offence for this team he will be out of a job in 12 months. not sure long-term cap implications are going to handcuff him this summer. |

He'll get a little more money but Bergevin won't give him the term he wants. Also he gets 60 points easily with another center than Danault
