Tampa has some important drafts coming up for the succession plan.

Karlsson has pretty much carried the Sens to the playoffs and second round.
Without him, they arent a playoff team.

I honestly think you put a player of that Caliber on the Leafs Defense and they are contenders. Maybe not ready to win a championship yet, but they would be knocking on the door.

Too bad, I don't ever remember seeing another defenseman that good.

Kapanen and Carrick combined for 89 games in the regular season and playoffs. OEL only had 79. Seems like Arizona would have to add something to sweeten the deal.

Palat and Drouin will cost a little more but I wouldn't be shocked to see Drouin get some sort of bridge deal as well.

Oh and I fully expect Vasilevsky to play about as much as Andersen this year.... the kid is good enough to take it.

I think Drouin is the trade bait and not Johnson. Drouin had the issues with management before and I wouldn't be surprised if they just don't want to deal with him anymore.

Trade Nylander too, who needs a young guy like that, only 74 points in 103 NHL games.

only a few mentioned that he must be playing hurt (one ref mentioned that he read he had had strep throat).
