I'm gonna go on a limb and say Caps will have an easier time, or the same "hard time", as they did with the Leafs, vs the Pens and whatever next team they face.

Unless they run into a stupid hot goalie, they have a heavy, as well as skilled, team.

Pens will be able to win games, unlike the Leafs merely stealing them, but i dont think they have the size to push around the Caps, much like the Leafs had issues in that regard.

It'll be a fun series to watch.

Truth be told I kinda hope Caps win in 4 just to make the Leafs look a bit better

I love the size excuse people keep trying to throw around. They did that all last year and then this year against the Jackets. While I don't think the Pens win this series, it's not because of the reasons you stated.

The more baseless insults you throw at people the more you are viewed as someone whose opinion cannot be viewed as valid no matter how many numbers you want to show or how many contradictions you want to try & prove.

You say (at times) stupid things, & your continued attempts to be a condescending arsehole - whether it be as Fedsteamer or Jboyd, is testament to your character of someone that's opinion is based on a mentality of everyone else is wrong unless they agree with me.

So go ahead as Jboyd (& respond "wat"), or fedsteamer (& reply with a name calling insult or gif as a donkey which is classic immaturity), & continue on your self righteous pathway of "I'm right & if you disagree with me then you are wrong"!

But please, please don't get annoyed when anyone - especially me, throws something you say back at you because it's an incorrect statement or it contradicts what you have said previously. But by all means continue to post & comment as its a free world & we all want that freedom to say & do as we want!

Pens in 6! (Because I'm a fan!)

THe Washington defence is some super elite unit narrative is what really has to die. Shattenkirk is an overrated power play specialist the Blues were fine getting rid of. Niskanan is an average second pairing dman who is decent at everything but elite at nothing. And Carlson is maybe the closest they have to a true 1D but would you trade a healthy Letang for him? I wouldn't. And no Hagelen this year is not ideal but we didn't have Guentzel last year. Not having Murray is the only thing that really could hurt. MAF has been good but if he falls apart..........I don't want to think about it.

Something thats not really talked about when two teams are about pay each other is the coaching. I think Sullivan and his staff have to be a factor here too. They seem to adapt and make good adjustments very well from game to game. On top of this Sullivan is great motivator and someone who milks the most out of his players. They almost finished 1st in the league dressing 15 different defensemen and missing very important forwards for significant amounts of time this year.

Yet you're on here 24 hours a day and all over every teams board to boot. You must suck at your job or your daddy owns the company. I call bull$hit. I have always believed you can't be more than 12 years old. The constant repetition of the same stupid concepts and suggestions is so infantile as is your nagging need to pathetically attempt to insult anyone for any reason while also chiming in anytime other posters are harassing/ bullying others like a peer pressured pre-pubescent, zit encrusted, douche-bag. I wish you lived in Detroit or close to it.

I kind of get what you're saying. Defence isnt about one individual anyway, or individuals, its about a sum of its parts and that includes the forwards and goalie. Now I know someone is probably going to to chime in and say all the parts on the Caps are better...but I think last year the individual parts of the teams they faced were for the most part better (on paper) than the Pens with the exception of Letang. D is about a full team being cohesive and in sync. It doesn't solely fall on just the defenders. So hopefully Jacques Martin has an effective strategy to deploy against this power house. Seems he did vs the Jackets.

I believe the best part of the Caps D to be Holtby.

Also, I think the Blues cared about Shattenkirk but it was known he wasnt resigning there.

Everyone knows there's a slapper coming from the hash marks & a lot of the time OV gets it through - how the bloody hell does he do it? Talking D, why don't those shots get taken away from him? I realise a majority are probably on the man advantage but still, he always seems to sneak 1 in.

The problem with an offensive powerhouse like the Caps is if you try and only focus on taking away OV's shot then chances are you're leaving another very offensively gifted player open.

I'd concentrate on getting yourself socially better before looking to help out others.

I like the fact that people can express their emotions or sentiments via an animated 'emotion'. Put a small message on the end of a written text just to confirm a certain feeling or message. Of course if you overuse them then it gets a little sarcastic or silly.

Now, putting photos of donkeys or Trump gifs showing a negative response or another type of gif attempting to humiliate or insult someone is much different.

My wife does sometime joke she has more children than she actually does, but my clients have never called me immature & my sporting peers also respect my decisions & have commented on my actions never once calling them immature. So to insult me as you have with names & insinuating a lack of intelligence just shows poor character on your part, often displayed as childish &/or immature reactions especially when you have been challenged! If using emojis is the only evidence you have of me being immature then I suggest you reassess your evaluation of my character.

Now can you reiterate on what exactly a 'franktard' is?

I'd rather blanket OV on the powerplay and play 4v3 with the other 7 players on the PP. Make Backstrom/Oshie/Williams/or their elite D beat us.

Yes I get that but so many times you see it, just seems unreal to think he is left in that exact spot so many times unmarked or left with enough time to take his shot.

I'd love to hear of any other player to have as much success (from any 1 location), as he's had from the 1 spot. I'm not sure you can compare Gretzky behind the net, but are there any others?
