Moving Bennett,
keeping Brouwer,
whether or not Elliott sucks,
if we should give Rittich more opportunity up here,
whether Versteeg will get over/under 3 mill,
whether we should fire Gulu already (in October)
Whether Jankowski should be called up and kick Bennett to the wing (lol)
Whether bennett should be a winger or center permanently
How much Backlund should get next contract
Which 1st line rw should we target
Which top four defense we should aquire - fry
Thats probably a couple weeks. I might actually have to work! |

Craw has 3 more years at 6 mil. Could be worse. Flames take on an extra 1.5 mil to get a decent tender till one of the youngens steps up.
Don't think Chicago would do it though, they can't really take on a bad contract right now.
Did not follow Chicago this year, is Craw still able to steal games? - DuranDuran

Is either guy that much better than Elliott though? MAF has been inconsistent the couple of years (having a great playoff in Murray's absence however...) and Bishop hasn't been the big game game since he was (last) injured. Really its going to be about contract size... To me Bishop priced himself down, MAF is what he is and I bet with the the series Elliott just had his price dropped significantly and would be willing to prove (himself) and the fans he can be better?
Any possibility the Kings sign Bishop and bait Quick for a trade? |

I look at the situation in Tampa and Bishop knew he was gone because of the cap ...that has to play into his game struggling ...fleury was good last season and has been good when needed this year ...either is better than Elliott imo
If I was LA I would consider doing that ....but loyalty usually wins so probably won't happen

Interesting to see what happens in LA, they have some great pieces but are also are starting to age. They also have some horrendous contracts.
Kopitar is 29 and is signed at 10 mil till at least 2023-24 season (7 more years!). Quick is 31 and signed at just under 6 mil till 2022-2023. Brown is currently 32 and signed at just under 6 mil till 2021-2022
Carter is 32 now and signed till 2021-2022 at just over 5 mil he will be 37 when his contract ends.
Imagine if Quick does not recover to level that won him that contract!
I can't see LA resigning Bishop. For what he is going to ask and he did not play all that outstanding while in LA.
LA could be royally (frank)ed in a couple years. |

The kings will buyout two of those contracts in 2019
Might get one off the books via expansion too

We are worried LA might not take Brouwer! His contract is looking amazing compared to Brown's.
According to HB Cap central LA is still paying off Richards till 2023-2024. What ever happened with him and that drug issue at the border?
I can see them buy-in out Brown, but not Quick. |

The players will opt out of this CBA and there will be the token 2 buyouts every team is allowed which will help the kings get rid of a couple ...I think they tried to get out of Richards because of his off ice issues but I think the league ruled against them
So they had to just buy it out the old fashion way |

I have worked with archeologists and you are a good bunch....kinda weird but good people. Sociologists on the other hand
I agree on Kovi to LV. LV could pretty much give a list of all unprotected players to NJ and say who do you want? With Jersey having so many picks they could want a few guys that are more NHL ready. Which would make for an expedited retool in Jersey and also bring in more star power to LV. - DuranDuran
I'm surprised no one has brought up the risk involved with signing Kovi
He's already dashed once back to Russia
Would LV want to give up assets for a player you can't count on their commitment? would Kovi even want to go to Vegas? |

Wouldn't Kovalchuk have to pass through waivers? |

I believe he can come back to the devils or be traded by the devils
If he waits to go to a team of his choice he needs approval from all other teams which is highly unlikely |

This is true. Seeing as you are in Ecuador and have worked with archaeologists, I am curious who you know. Ecuador/Peru are my area (and my wife's). |

Mainly I have worked with a guy named Florencio Delgado, he is head of the archeology dept at San Francisco University. I think got his doctorate out of Texas.
Have done a couple GPR studies that were quite interesting. We did one for the new Metro here in Plaza San Francisco in the heart of old town. Besides that we typically hire archeologists for EIA's. Worked in this one area in the coast here where they found some really cool stuff.
