Yeah of course. What teams do you think would give up a first for a guy like kovi? Im assuming all win now mode cup contenders lol.

Hopefully this won't be too long. I'm gonna include teams that could be a fit, whether that's with a 1st or just players.
WSH: The BEST trade partner. Johansson and Orlov for Kovalchuk and a 2nd? They are in win now mode and could lose one of Johansson or Orlov in the expansion draft. Addresses offense and defense.
DAL: 1st and Eakin or Eakin and Klingberg. They could have 2 1st's. I read that Hitchcock wants to have Seguin, Spezza, and Faksa down the middle so Eakin is the odd man out. V. Nish will come back because Ruff is gone and DAL will lose Sharp and Hemsky and could replace them with Nich and Kovy.
As for Klingberg, I doubt they trade him, and they would probably prefer to trade the 1st over Klingberg.
BUF: Kane and Guhle or Nylander. The Jack Eichel effect, Eichel was not happy with where the Sabres ended up and said that there were guys just happy to be in the NHL in BUF.
Would BUF trade Nylander to get someone to play beside Eichel now, not sure. I DO NOT want Kane, but he could be flipped at the trade deadline for something good. He will be a UFA after next season, so he could be desirable then. Teams didn't want Kane this year because of the extra year he had on his contract.
FLA: 1st and Smith or Smith and Hawryluk/Borgstrom/Mascherin. Changes will be coming in FLa after their season and I read that Smith could be exposed for the ED.
NYI: Kovy and Tavares on the same line. 1st and Strome. Strome's days on the Island may be coming to an end.
STL: 1st and Barbarshev. Won't hurt them at all.
SJ: 1st and Hertl or Meir by himself or Meir and Hertl(if Boedker has to be taken). Lose one of Marleau or Thornton and could be dangerous with Kovy and Deboer. May have to take Boedker.
