Can we PLEASE stop the female doging about Pysyk...

He's gone and not coming back. For those who were pissed, Murray is gone and not coming back. Its over...move on.

- feetontheair22

I hear what you're saying...
but tell me u wouldn't prefer to have Pysyk & McNabb still

If our defense was good, I doubt anyone would really care
But it stinks
And those guys could've helped last year for sure

http://www.wgr550.com/articles/news/sam-reinhart-living-his-draft-status

P-Ham going in on Sam Reinhart.

"His work paid off as he was Buffalo’s best player in front of the net with screens and tips. In his second season, Reinhart participated in very few of the extra workout and his attitude changed too. He acted like he had made it and became pretty arrogant in his demeanor and interviews. Only after he had to sit out a game for being late, did he become a regular after practice again. I think he had three tipped goals all season and wasn't a force in front until late in the season."

- sbroads24

Hopefully last season knocked him off his high horse then
If he gets back to working his a$$ off, like he did when he got sent back to Juniors, then maybe we will see the leap in production like many hoped for / expected

I still like him, but I agree with you...
He needs to be better than being a 50point player

He should be a 20+ goal scorer
I think getting Sam back at Center can make his assists spike up to the 40+ range, and would be a level of production we'd all be pretty happy with

I'm sick and tired of guys underperforming in this city relative to draft status.

Whether it's Watkins/Dareus/Spiller etc or it's Reinhart/Girgensons etc.

Give me some guys that exceed expectations.

Reinhart does the bare minimum and people go up in arms if you want more

- sbroads24

Where u get picked is relative though
Sam & Jack were both #2, but u don't have the same expectations...
do you?

I think we all wanna see more from Sam
But it's not like he's been a waste of a player
Just hasn't progressed at the rate we hoped for
Idk if you're done with him,
But I think he can still produce at a rate we can all be happy with

Not done with him at all. Just sick of the status quo in this city.

Watkins 1st receiver taken, is in reality performing like the 5th or 6th best. Same thing with Reinhart. At least with Watkins it's injury related

Goaltending IS NOT the issue with this team. Lehner was quite fine between the pipes. Could you imagine if we had these type of Defensemen: 1, 2, and a 3???
- Stadtusquo

Yeah, I don't think goal tending is a problem here, and Bishop would be too much. Lehner and Ulllmark will be fine next season.

It's only year 2 though
Kid has a lot of year's left

And there's guys picked behind others who exceed their draft status every year, in every sport

Bishop isn't making 6.5-7mil like some on here are saying
I'd say more like 5-5.5mil seems more like it

It'll be very interesting to see how the new GM views Lehner
His numbers were there, but I've heard some Nat'l guys say we need to improve the goaltending
Defense must be fixed first & foremost though

Lehner might not be a franchise goalie,
But he's at least alright

I think Lehner is safe and focus will be on the defense.

I also think Baptiste could thrive with Eichel, he is a finisher, he scored 44 goals playing on a line with Connor McDavid.
- macman9

I didn't know that! Wow that's like brown on the leafs he played with mcdavid too!, Connor obviously makes players around him better ,but so does jack! And he needs guys with great hockey sense to know when he's passing, when he's shooting, and so on,so Baptiste and Nylander? Hopefully whoever the coach is gets this kid the line mates he deserves cause you might be seeing a top 5 Finnish in next year's scoring race!

Baptiste is nice 3rd round find for us, the kid has a natural ability to find the back of the net even though he doesn't have slick hands. He has some wheels, though.

Dont be signing bishop! not at that age and price!5.5or plus? If you can? The Sabres should try getting Washington's back up or rannta or someone who's up and coming with projected starting, Imho bishop doesn't get the money he's looking for even with the crazy things g.m.s do on the 1st of July

One would assume...
but if the new GM doesn't like Lehner,
Then maybe spending a million more on Bishop wouldn't be a bad idea

Defense MUST be the focus though

I wouldn't hate Bishop, it would be a breath of fresh air.

but it's all about the money and what you could do with Lehner

That's funny brown was taken in the six round, so maybe these guys see opportunity and play harder? But if Baptiste can skate and flush a puck from the corners, jam up the net with presence
., and Nylander with the Finnishing touch, I think Jacks of to the races!

Lombardi did just trade for him...
so if he's our new GM, then I think Bishop is a possibility

Not that I'm saying we should do that

This. He isn't a top 5 goalie but he certainly isn't a bottom 10 guy either. That's good enough and we should be focusing attention elsewhere.

Bishop could give a young team some confidence, and would give the Sabres a no questioned starter! But me thinking he's not going to be getting the big deal? Maybe a show me deal (hopefully ) or they could sign him to a 4×4? Cause he might not be getting calls?but then again some idiot might give him6×6?and will probably regret it. ...hopefully not the Sabres imho...and Lehner it might be time to move on?or make him fight for the starting position!

It was a strange signing! And I haven't seen why he did it ?their back up at the time had better number (regular season )and quick just came back,so maybe quick wasn't 100%but it doesn't explain why sending what's his name? Lol to tampa

From what I heard,
Budaj's play had dropped off after a great first half
And I guess Quick's health was still a bit of a question mark

It was strange though, I agree

Well the goaltending issue is above my pay grade! it's a hit and miss somtimes, but a young team needs! A strong performer no doubt, and the new g.m. will determine is it Lehner or someone else? But it's exciting! and the team will be stronger next season talk later guys have a great night!

I'd be fine keeping Lehner for about 3.75 mil / 3 years but if we could do better, why not look into it?
