And, it is a ridiculous discussion, though. Of course he could be better. And, for starters get the guy off the freaking wing and put him at center where he belongs, that's the reason why we drafted him. Having Sam hang out on the right side waiting to tip pucks is a waste of his ability. He needs to be the guy with the puck, being creative, and making his wingers better players. This is like drafting a QB and making him play tight end, it just makes no sense. I hope the new GM and coach have a brain in their heads.

Some good points there but playing wing should be even easier with less responsibilities so the points can go back and forth but his only fit on our team is wing as he needs to be in the top 6 and we already have ROR and Eichel hence the trade talks. FWIW I see them moving Kane before they move Reinhart especially with a new GM in charge

Ek back on crack. He's saying Willie Nylander for Vlasic.

20 year old coming off 60 pts for 30 year old one year away from FA. That guy kills me.

There is no question the Leafs have done a lot right, however, they got very fortunate in picking the right year to properly tank and winning the lottery.

Buffalo won neither lottery as the worst team and the Leafs won the one that mattered most to them.

This is very true. Although winning any of the last 3 lotteries would have gotten you either a superstar or a stud d. Look at the bright side for you guys .... at least a guy like Eichel was there at #2. That hasn't happened since the Malkin draft.

I think he would be fine at 3C and would be with decent linemates. And, wing may be an easier position, but its also one where you don't see the puck as much and are expected to let your center be the playmaker. Sam should be told, "We want you with the puck." It's like anything in life, you stop practicing, you get rusty. We're letting a very good center get rusty as he sits dormant on the wing.

To be honest that's about what it would take. Vlasic is really really good. Top 2 guys don't come cheap

Again this is very basic work so far but Gabe Vilardi could wind up being a steal for someone.

The points havent piled up but his expected goals for and primary assists are very good

I think hes this years version of Draisaitl. Maybe not the same upside tho
