I hope this helps Virtanens development as well, I've heard this season him and Green get along very well.

A new coach can go both ways, I hope he can get 70 point seasons out of the Sedins, maybe with some added pieces in the summer (draft, free agency etc) they can make an actual run.

I'm just thankful Lidster is unemployed.

What happened to leaving the 20 million in salary you wanted to keep?

how green was a poor choice that will prevent us from returning to the playoffs next year

Nobody will care when he's fired so he's the perfect choice for the canucks right now.

He will be gone by 12 if the jets are still picking there. I could see them moving up this year to grab a Heikanen or Makar. They have players they will loose via expansion and lots of prospects, might be time for them to make a move for quality of quantity.

Chevy has been cheap going with youth over experience. Cheaper contracts over paying a bit more for experience. It is hurting them. They had stafford, stepniak, frolik during their playoff season. Didn't resign any and brought in a bunch of youth. Sucked last season. This season weren't much better till the end still going with all the youth. Their youth is starting to become more experienced but taking much longer then it should with the quality pieces they have at the top of their line up.

I must say, it's going to be refreshing to listen to Green after the games. Willie was a horrific interview

There are a lot of other european players that had better seasons against men then he did.

I don't know enough about his TOI/linemates to judge whether his lack of stats matters. His skillset is what it is, and it's impressive.

Oliver Kylington in 2015 central scouting euro final ranking was 6th. Smooth skating PP D that had struggles in his draft season. Dropped to Calgary 50th OA. Sound like Liljegren a bit?

I'm willing to give Green a chance before freaking out over the hiring. It's not like he did a bad job with Utica or benefited for stacked rosters in the AHL(WHL, sure).

DCT is right about this draft, it's hard to stick with a set top 5, everyone is so closely bunched together

I know what you mean that we don't know enough about his play. To look at it though. He plays in the u20s this season against players that are slightly better and more or less the "cream of the crop" of junior players and he was not very good. Goes to u18s against players that are more his skill level and he does well. Maybe a top 10 pick in this draft

If that's the case, at least a few teams will be sorry they passed.

We know Henrik and Daniel will be the real coaches the next few years so it doesn't matter who they bring in
