That is a concern for sure...Nico is the only prospect without a noticeable weakness or red flag
- CanuckDon

That's a concern, but Nico not having an even strength goal (or PP for that matter) after Feb 5th (for the rest of the reg season) isn't? Ok...

Could be a lot of guys...

Mittelstadt
Makar
Necas
Pettersson
Glass
Heiskanen
Vesalainen

This draft is actually going to be fun to watch. Could be some big "reaches".

BPA will get a whole new meaning this draft

What do they say about sample sizes...look at a players full body of work. I'm not criticizing Mittelstad, just saying it could be a concern. Nico was clearly gassed at the end of the year

Agree... Just saying he DOES have concerns like every other prospect. I just happened to start following him right when he hit that wall, and I admit my view of him is negatively biased from that perspective. I couldn't imagine a top talent being that snakebit in the Q of all leagues...

Either way Nucks should take a center to break him into the NHL ASAP or they are likely to sign Hank for another season. Guadette coming won't be enough to stop that move.

My issue exactly and wonder is this Nedved all over again. Maybe not fair but Nico's biggest claim to fame is getting tons of minutes to look good at WJC. So he likes the big stage but isn't an everyday performer? Is that Molginy 2.0? Maybe why Nolan is the safer pick and Mittelstadt the most intriguing upside among those guys as top 3.

I am still wanting Patrick if we get first, after that I want a safer pick of Vilardi, Glass or maybe even Necas.
If we select a defenseman I will be happy with any of Valimaki, Foote or Heskainen. Please do not select Liljegren.

I think its safe to say with a name like that he will resign the Canucks for another 4 seasons.

just to be clear the Mogilny 2.0 is reference to the 76 goal scorer?? wtf do you mean, nedved was a popular local preference and he did a couple productive years and represented CANADA at the olympics , the forsberg goal ones i thinky

I can't see you guys taking a D if you have a top 4 pick. Gotta get some high end offense.

An unpopular reporter talked to Benning this weekend . JB told him the scoring will come from Boeser Dahlen Goldobin and Gaudette in the future.

It was pointed out that two of those players came via trades. Benning said at the beginning of the year he would not trade Hansen because he wanted to make the playoffs. He said he would have to think about moving Burrows.

I like Goldobin and I am thrilled to have him for Hansen.

Continue moving out vets and bring in new faces that can play.

Not with Nucks. Anyway, that was a different era the equivalent is closer to a 20 goal scorer now. Mogilny, as in enigmatic and not showing up consistently to produce.

Nedved was talked up as being Gretzky like. Turns out he was a fan getting his stick signed after a playoff loss to Kings. That's as close as it got.

Thus, Nico could be a big disappointment that also doesn't show up consistently to produce.

Fair enough...I didn't follow him much at the end of the season as I had already made my mind up on him as the top prospect. Your right, he isn't perfect, no prospect is. In my opinion he has less weaknesses than anyone else.
