Take the golf bag out of the closet and freshen them up. Sense might win a game maybe two but that's it. Rangers in 6 easy!

Do you think it is NYR's mediocre offence or mediocre defence that will be the difference maker in the series?

Considering Lundquist's save percentage of 0.910 during the regular season, do you really expect him to maintain a 0.950 average against better teams?

Karlsson may be playing injured but he was still able to take over games when needed.

I like Ottawa's chances...

They're 4th in goals for. Not exactly mediocre.

I like Ottawa's chances though. We all know Karlsson will be a beast, I think it will come down to Anderson.

Somewhat like the Boston series, I think this is very evenly matched. The Rangers will be a great depth test for us
- Maverick1818

I agree, def should be 6 or 7 games, if Hank played like he did against the Habs it will be a stingy series.

4th overall offense mediocre? This will require an explanation. (And don't say it's because they started strong!)

Rangers offense can be better than mediocre, early in the year we were regularly scoring 5/6/7 goals even a game, against Montreal we didn't but what team does blow people away offensively in the playoffs? Kreider & Miller really didn't contribute at all & they are top 6 forwards for us who are counted on. This has 6 or 7 games written all over it, anyone can win. I like our chances as you like yours. Lets get it on.

NYR has no elite scoring talent up front. Zuccarello was tops at 59 points. There is no game breaker within the forward ranks, unlike Boston which has Bergeron, Marchand and Pastarnak.

The top scorer for NYR in the first round was... Mika Zibanejad.

Rooting for a divisional rival who just beat you in the playoffs? Really hate the Rangers that much?

And what does that matter now? 3 goals, hell even 2 can be enough to win most games in the playoffs. Did you see how well Lundqvist played? Well you will soon enough.

All I'm saying is that if Rangers fans believe that they will easily dispose of Ottawa, they may be in for a surprise. NYR is a very good team. So is Ottawa.

I hope Brian Boyle gets punched really really hard in the face by Chris Neil. I know he no longer plays for the Rangers, and Neil is unlikely to play, but somehow I hope it happens anyway.

The Rangers are a perfect match for the Sens, I wanted nothing to do with the Habs. Looking at the season series between Rangers and Sens, the Sens were the better team.

I think the Sens win in 5

Yes and the Sens swept the Bruins in the reg season series.
To be honest Montreal appeared to be a lot better than NYR but they just couldn't score. I think Sens are going to shut the Rangers down and win in 5

I prefer to play NYR over the Habs but see the series more as a toss up.

The third game we played against the Rangers, they sat out 8 to 10 regulars.

We now have the forward depth to compete with NYR with the additions of McArthur, Burrows, Stalberg and Wingels. They can't take advantage of a weak fourth line. The addition of Harper has also strengthened the third defence pairing.

Hockey is a team sport but elite players have a bigger impact in the playoffs when the quality and depth of teams is improved.
