Yes. I called and specifically asked for them since we have been doing this for years. We use the extra to take family and friends. We were wait listed and it was a bit of a hassle because of held seats (i think for players) but it worked out ok. It just was a little more cumbersome of a process but the seats we got were ok (not as good as normal but decent).

We are approaching 20 years as season ticket holders so maybe that had something to do with the accommodation.

Yeah, that makes sense.

We have been season ticket holders for 12 years. I didn't call, I thought about it though.

Kind of strange that they didn't open up strips to STH's though, as there were a lot of tickets available in the pre-sales. Even if they would have limited it to so many tickets in strips once it got closer to the playoffs starting and still so many available....

Oh well, I'm not in charge so what do I know.

That stinks about them charging you more than gate price. I hope it is still less than the price with the Ticketmaster fees at least........

I heard a pretty funny bit this afternoon on the 101 show with Chris Duncan.

The show broke for an update on Bruce's day:

Played some news breaking update music, then announcer:

Stated that he was live, at a golf course in Minnesota. Bruce's 4 some was through 5 holes, but was a +4.

Bruce was asked about his day so far, and said that he was hitting all the best shots so far......

Reporter then reported that despite that, he has still not been able to putt the ball in the hole.

In the playoff info where we renewed, it stated extra playoff strips would not be offered this year....

Did you call your rep and get them? We usually get extras since our season tickets are shared, giving us the possibility of everyone that wants to go to a game the option. And selling them if we can't use them all to co workers/etc.

Checked out presale yesterday and passed. Hard for me to stomach paying $140 (w fees) for worse seats than I already have at $70 bucks.

Don't think Round 1 sold that strongly. Guessing Round 2 may be same deal. Blues do have benefit for better game days.

Yeah, I looked as well to see if we wanted to pick up another pair for a game or two.

A lot of tickets were available. That is why I was surprised when they didn't offer additional strips. (I guess unless you called and asked)

My guess is there were a lot more season ticket holders because people wanted to get into the Winter Classic. And then they didn't renew or didn't buy playoff tickets. So they had more available than they expected.

I would have thought they would email out STHers a couple of days before tickets went on sale to the general public and offered strips then, since so many tickets were still available. Oh well...

You know Jammer you can always hook up a disabled war veteran(lol I really wouldn't use that to get something just being funny or trying anyway).

The bolded is definitely true.

From a business standpoint, a team should either a) try to maximize their revenue at the risk of angering some of their fans a bit or b) earn good will by protecting those loyal fans and giving up a little revenue. It amazes me how the Blues can sometimes lose revenue and anger the loyal fans at the same time but I've seen it happen a number of times.

Tarasenko isn't a superstar? Also for those that didn't read the article, the author compared the Preds to a zombie grizzly bear, wearing a suit of armor, juggling chainsaws; but he's not bias or anything.

I really hate war metaphors in sports. So cliche.

Also think they learned their lesson last round. Plenty of people bought extra tickets to find out they got the Easter game. I had 2 pairs I had to sell myself.

I presented the question earlier of: would you rather have WSH go to the conference finals so that we also receive their 2019 2nd round pick or have them lose to the Leafs so that we have a higher first round pick from them this year. I have to think that now the consensus has changed and we should want them to advance to the ECF.

Yeah if they lose in this round it would be the worst possible outcome for us. I hope I'm wrong but I think the Pens are gonna take em.
