Every player no matter how good they are is capable of having a bad game. Was Laughton directly responsible for any of the goals?

I wonder if Provorov was a bust after the chicago game. Seriously tho, by most accounts Laughton has had a good year with the phantons as has Leier. one bad game doesn't eliminate that. not saying they will be NHL players....just saying one bad game means little

I really hope Laughton proves me wrong, but they seem determined to make a center out of him again and I just don't see enough of a complete game in him to ever be a top 9 center. However, he can be a nice 4C and PK specialist, though improving his faceoffs would help.

I agree. However, what I would have liked to see more then "one bad game" when up 4-2 that he was him dominating at the A level in a BIG game and start to prove he deserves that spot on 4th line next year...

Anyone agree Laughton experiment as a shutdown guy going -4 in a big game trying to secure a 2 goal lead may be over? Package or career A guy?

It's frustrating to watch knowing that Olli Maatta was taken right behind him. They'll give him 2 more years before they move on.

at this point I just hope he plays for them somewhere. if its 4th line then so be it. hate missing on first rounders, granted, the first round is where they rarely miss so missing one isn't awful. happens to all teams

It was less than a stellar draft that year. The way the team is structured, I don't see him as a Top 9 forward here.
