Why can't you follow it, there's only about 600 schools spread out over about 80 conferences. - jmatchett383
And the championship game participants are determined by opinion. |

Anyone agree Laughton experiment as a shutdown guy going -4 in a big game trying to secure a 2 goal lead may be over? Package or career A guy? |

Yeah, never understood why that's their thing. And (frank) Miami and Their "The U" too - KINGKENZO
Most of the players who played for the teams when "The U" started probably didn't know how to say University. |

They keep trying to paint him as a two-way center, but everything about his game screams one-way winger. |

He can kill penalties, but at the NHL level, I don't see him being more than a 4th liner. |

Every player no matter how good they are is capable of having a bad game. Was Laughton directly responsible for any of the goals? |

Lots of buzz on Kovalchuk possibly returning. I thought, at least until he turns 35, that every team in the NHL would have to sign off on his return. Is this true, or would it only pertain to him signing with someone other than the Devils?
Have to think he would want to go somewhere where he would have a chance to win a Cup in the next couple of seasons, so that pretty much rules out the Devils

Watching the highlights I don't know if any goal could be directly attributed to him. He lost a D zone faceoff that led to a goal. The Dmenlook so scrambly down there. In the one highlight phantoms are defending a 5 on 3. Morin goes and finishes a check in the corner boards pancaking the guy after the guy passes it and Morin knew the puck was gone. I'm no expert but that is unbelievable and its the kind of things you see when you watch them. I think all the kids will improve their game with the flyers |

It was only one game, but as someone who has seen about a dozen Phantoms games this season, I can safely say that both Morin and Hagg looked better at the NHL level than they did in the "A" |

Re Laughton:
Barring him blowing everyone away in Camp, I just don't see a spot for him with the Flyers in their top 12. At center, G, Coots and Filpulla are locks and I think Vecchione has the edge on him for the last spot. And, if you move him to wing, there still isn't room. Jake, Simmonds, Schenn, at least 2 of Read/Weise/Raffl, PEB, Weal, and Konecny are ahead of him and Lindblom will likely win a spot in the spot in top 12 too.
At best, he's looking at being a spare forward if he isn't dealt.

Maybe in another year, I can't imagine all other teams signing off on that for 17-18

It makes you wonder what is going on down there in terms of the Phantoms at least trying to play a semblance of Hakstols system.

It looks nothing like Hak's system, which is really puzzling to me. Part of me hopes they get swept and Hexy makes a change, of course my fear is that the change would be promoting Riley Cote.
